Raped in 1996 at the "Friendliest Place in the World"

Exposing (yet another) David Miscavige cover-up

heber-alexander
Heber Jentzsch and baby Alexander

From the many red flags now being raised about the death of Alexander Jentzsch, the son of the President of the Church of Scientology, 77-year old Heber Jentzsch (who is currently in lock down in the Hole, suffering from a bad case of Stockholm Syndrome and elder abuse) this case threatens to become as significant and newsworthy as the death of Trayvon Martin. In fact, this is actually a MUCH bigger story than Katie Homles daring escape from Tom Cruise, the narcissistic monster, who allows human slaves at Scientology's international headquarters to toil away on gifts for him like an airplane hanger and custom vehicles.

Investigation is what is called for now and I'm glad the LAPD is on it because the circumstances around Alexander's death are highly suspicious. Someone is lying or covering up because the "facts" as reported to date are completely screwy.

To recap briefly, per Radar Online and Tony Ortega, the Coroner says that Alexander's wife is not cooperating, not returning his phone calls. There are red flags all over the place. So this is not the time to fold our hands and offer condolences to the poor bereaved in laws or his black widow of a wife who refuses to cooperate with the coroner and who barred Alexander's own mother Karen de la Carriere (the woman who bore this child in her womb) from even seeing his body one last time before he was cremated. If you remember, the initial story was that 27-year old Alexander went to bed with a "high fever" and in the morning was found dead. That doesn't make much sense. Does it.

Now, it is being reported that actually Alexander went to bed on Sunday night. Per Tony Ortega, "On Monday, July 2, the in-laws had noticed Jentzsch still in bed at about 9 am when they left their house. Twelve hours later, when they returned, Jentzsch had not moved, but they did not check on him. The next morning, on July 3, when they saw that Jentzsch was still in the same position, the father-in-law checked on him and found him unresponsive. At that point, Karen says Winter told her, the father-in-law then took a child to school and only after he returned and still found Jentzsch unresponsive did he call 9-1-1."

Now lemme get this straight. Alexander goes to bed on Sunday night with a "high fever." On Monday morning no one checks on him except to notice the position he was in. Twelve hours later they come home and he's still in bed, in the same position, but they "don't check on him." Why check on someone who has a "high fever," right? Let 12, 24, 36 hours go by. That's Sunday night, Monday all day, Monday night... and then finally on Tuesday after noticing he hadn't changed positions the father-in-law checks on him. Oh dang it, he's dead. Well, got to get the kids off to school!

Hey, life goes on, right? I mean whenever I stumble upon a dead body in my house, I always wrap up whatever I was doing first — putting away the groceries, you know... especially when it's the 27-year old son of the President of the Church of Scientology.

I checked with an attorney and his immediate comment was "the father-in-law could minimally face charges of manslaughter." Meanwhile a little bird outside my window is chirping "negligent homicide, negligent homicide, raaaaaaerk."

And as for what really happened during all that time, having worked with David Miscavige for 17 years, here is one purely theoretical scenario:

Father-in-law found Alexander dead on Monday morning and called Kirsten Caetano, External Security Chief in the Office of Special Affairs (OSA) to impart the bad news. She in turn would need to submit the news up to David Miscavige. Being in the middle of "handling" the Tom & Katie split, Miscavige was probably very busy screaming at all those people who failed to catch Katie Holmes before she launched her divorce maneuvers. When someone finally did get the nerve to tell Miscavige about Alexander's death, he would have lit the dispatch on fire and send it back to Kirstin demanding a full program to handle. Then would have ensued an emergency meeting with attorneys and a medical expert. Particulars concerning the death would have to be gotten and the in laws interrogated. A plan would have been created laying out what to say to the authorities, what to say to the media, i.e. "throw Alexander under a bus by framing him up as a "drug addict" who was also drinking heavily." (In case anyone hasn't noticed, Scientologists are prohibited from taking drugs). Action items to quickly cremate the body. Hold no memorial. Don't tell the boy's mother — hush up the death like they did with Anne Tidman last summer (for 6 months). That program would have been submitted to Miscavige for approval and he would have likely rejected it once or twice sending it back to the sender (so in case it fails, he will always have someone to blame). All that could have easily delayed the call to 911 by hours. Finally, 24 hours later, Kirstin would have called the father-in-law back and screaming "You didn't call 911 yet?" even though she told him not to do anything.

Surely all this must be wrong. It's just a theory. Yet when Karen sent a friend to Andrea home to deliver a letter, the friend was turned away with the message, "All communication goes through the Office of Special Affairs." Even a call to 911?

The LAPD would be well advised to check phone records to and from any nearby telephones the father-in-law could have used.

Alexander's rape by a child predator and consequent coverup

In Scientology Inc., the reputation of David Miscavige comes before all else. Which was also seen in the tragic loss of Lisa McPherson who, while she lay dying, was driven to a hospital 45 minutes away — no doubt to put some distance between her and the Flag Land Base where she had been neglected, while Morton Plant Hospital was only blocks away in the other direction. But of course putting PR first is just another way of saying "cover up."

And on that theme, Alexander had already fallen into a well-worn groove. Behold, Alexander Jentzsch was the victim of a child predator inside the Church of Scientology when he was 12 years old. The incident was covered up the Church of Scientology executives and neither the boy's father nor mother were ever told about it by the Church. Yet you can bet David Miscavige KNEW ALL ABOUT IT. He receives info on ALL potential legal liabilities. Karen only found out on July 2010 when multiple former executives from the area where Alexander was working contacted Karen and told her what had happened to her son. Here's what they said:

Witness #1:

I was a member of the Sea Organization from August 1989 till August 2007. It was when I worked in the Office of Special Affairs Flag Land Base, that I learned about the rape of Alexander Jentzsch, then a 12 or 13 years son of Karen De La Carriere and Heber Jentzsch. I started working in OSA in January 1997 and it was during that year when I learned about the rape through my then co-worker Annie Mora, who had been assigned to keep an eye on Alexander from the point of time he was received at the Flag Land Base.

The rape incident involved a female FSO Dept 5 staff Marie Warren, seducing Alex to have sex with her in one of the crew berthing apartments. Once this incident became known by Annie Mora she was executing the immediate handling which included making sure the knowledge of the rape isn´t spreading not only inside the church but to the outside; it would have been devastating to the image of the church to have this crime become general knowledge. Another action was to transfer Alexander and Marie out of Florida to California to help cover it up from the Authorities. Needless to say Alexander´s rape was a huge flap and would be the kind of incident OSA staff would automatically deal with, hence my knowledge of it.

Witnesses #2 and Witness #3:

"I have some additional information on the transfer of Alexander from Clearwater to L.A... when he cleaned the Fort Harrison toilets and lobby with no schooling when he was 11 and 12 years old for well over a year.

"While Alexander was a minor living at the QI (Quality Inn - where the S.O. children lived) he was the victim of what is termed statutory rape, legally. A woman named Marie Warren who was about 40 years old and who worked as a Dept 5 FSO Letter Registrar took Alexander, still a child and had sexual intercourse in the bathroom of her QI dorm while her 2 roommates were asleep. His mother Karen was in Los Angeles. Heber was up lines at Int base. This was 1996.

"The authorities were not informed and both parties were immediately gotten out of the state of Florida.

"Mary was sent to the RPF in Los Angeles and was subsequently found unfit for the Sea Org and dismissed. Alexander was transferred to California to work for the church there...

"The OSA drill for this sort of thing goes something like this:

  1. Convince both parties that they are responsible and grossly out ethics, they have put the church at risk and they need to withhold what happened. 'For the great good...cover up anything that might not be good "PR" for the Church"'
  2. Get both parties immediately out of the state, in this case Florida.
  3. Follow up to keep the "flap" secret and/or make it go away.

"Marie Warren went to the PAC RPF and after things settled down she was Fitness Boarded out of the Sea Org. The above gives additional data on why Alexander was moved to L.A. There are many reasons why OSA is currently showing Alexander such "love" per Karen's post on Marty's web site: He is the son of Heber, he experienced child labor law violations, he experienced the "abortion drill" and he experienced the "OSA drill" for children that are sexually abused. All of these abuses have recently been being exposed by Marty, Mike and others. Because he was the son of the President, Church of Scientology International and had just been raped by a 40 year old, I was asked to come up with the money for plane fare IMMEDIATELY to get him out of Florida, and out of the jurisdiction of the crime. The above also might be an additional aspect to Heber and Alexander being kept apart for 6 years."

Witness #4

"Marie Warren was a Letter Registrar in the same office where I was, she sat a few desks down from me.

"Marie and her three daughters lived at the QI (Quality Inn) several miles away, where families lived. I lived at the Hacienda Gardens apartment complex for staff, three miles away.

"Marie said she needed to get some extra rest during the day and I offered to have her use my apartment to do that. It was closer and easier to get to during the afternoon. I took her there one day to get her oriented and set up, on the other days she went by herself.

"At this same time, Alexander Jentzsch, the son of Heber Jentzsch and Karen De La Carriere, was at the Flag Land Base without either of his parents. I did not have any information as to why he was there alone. He did not attend school, although of school age, and did not attend staff study. Annie Mora, who worked in OSA FLB, was meant to be keeping an eye on him. On one occasion, when Alexander was helping out in my department, he told me that he had not seen his father for quite some time and that he had the idea his father somehow disapproved of him and didn't want to see him; as the reason he did not get to spend much time with him. I said that sometimes Heber had quite a lot on his plate and there are
rough patches between parents and children, especially as young people change and grow and become more independent. He agreed, and said, "I love my father very much and I know he loves me, I just wish I could see him more." Alexander was about 12 or 13 years old at the time. He would frequently come into our area and volunteer to help out. He amused us with his stories and songs. There were several women who worked in Dept 5 and we all sort of looked after him, after a fashion. I didn’t think anything about Marie taking him about with her as she had a daughter his age and two younger ones.

"One day, in Dept 5 there was a bit of a blow up with Marie and the Dir I & R
(Director of Inspections and Reports, the person in a Scientology organization who is responsible for ethics and internal investigations), Annalisa, was called in to help handle it and she took Marie away to find out what was going on. Later, the Dir I & R told me, based on what Marie had told her, that on at least one of the occasions she had used my apartment, she had been there alone with Alexander. I was told that she had seduced him in my apartment and that it had also occurred in her family berthing at the QI. Marie was around 38 or 40 years old while Alexander was barely 12 or 13 and a minor in the eyes of the law.

"Within 24 hours, Alexander was flown to Los Angeles. Marie was removed from post and assigned to the RPF (Rehabilitation Project Force), a short time later she also was sent to Los Angeles and put on the RPF there, from which she was routed out of the Sea Org. There were no charges brought against Marie Warren at the time nor since. The rape was not reported to law enforcement .

"The entire incident was kept hushed up and only key people at Flag Land Base knew what had happened."

When Karen found out, she wanted to publish it the facts on this website, but the Church threatened her with legal action if she made the crime known. Now Alexander is dead. My answer to them, "go ahead and make my day child molesters."

Is it really any wonder that Alexander, in the grip of that kind of organization run by David Miscavige, was found dead just 15 years after being raped by a 40-year old?

Vultures of a feather

Sure you've heard the old saying. But let's explore it. What does it really take to kill someone? Here's a recipe: child abuse, slave labor, rape, disconnection and rip off. So let me tell you about the last element. Rip off.

alexander-jentzsch-chick-corea
Alexander Jentzsch and Jazz great, Chick Corea

When Alexander left the Sea Org and was subsequently forced by OSA to disconnect from his own mother, he was given money by the Church and they even helped him land a job in the outside world with one of the best donators to the David Miscavige regime, David Melrose. Melrose was a "Scientologist" and a particular pet of David Miscavige because of his propensity to give large sums to the Church. Alexander met David Melrose a few years ago when Alexander was flown out to Dallas to pick up a check from David for $350,000, a donation for a new Church building in Dallas. And how was Melrose getting his money? He stole it from his own employees, of course.

As the owner of Dallas Home Loans, Melrose systematically stole monies from employees by enacting policies that allowed him to fire loan officers prior to payout for closed loans. In other words, loan officers would normally be paid in the weeks following a loan's closing and funding. Employees reported that they were instead released by the company at the end of a given month, just before the loans closed. Melrose allegedly allowed the loan officers to shepherd their loans across the finish line, but then fired them prior to the loans actually funding, thereby keeping thousands and thousands of dollars, which, apparently, he allegedly diverted to David Miscavige's program, like buying a new "Ideal Org" building in Dallas.

And so when Alexander lost his job, he had no money and no where to go having been forced to disconnect from his mother. Alexander Jentzsch meet Rock Bottom. And thereby was weaved a web of deceit and betrayal that perhaps took another life.

Abracadabra

And finally there's something more that perhaps comes from that OSA playbook I theorized about. All history and all record online of Alexander Jentzsch having existed is quickly vanishing. His facebook account, data about him on various websites, all going, going, gone. And if that's not creepy, please leave a comment and let me know what is.

"The boy without a dad"

alex_boy

Those of us who put our lives and reputations on the line to publish articles and information covering David Miscavige’s hostile take over and subversion of the Church of Scientology, warping it to his own vicious ends do so for only one reason: to stop the senseless loss of life and to protect others from harm because that is the right thing to do.

One of the leaders of our movement has been Karen de la Carriere/Jentzsch a woman formerly married to the President of the Church, 77 year old Heber Jentzsch.

Heber, a man beloved by tens of thousands of people worldwide for his kind spirit and willingness to help anyone, was ordered by divorce Karen by David Miscavige. Why? Divide and conquer, DM’s relentless strategy.

Karen was one of the highest trained Scientologists, a Class XII C/S personally trained by L. Ron Hubbard. In fact she was invited to join the Sea Org and work with LRH by Ron himself.

She met Heber when she was working for the Office of Special Affairs (which has since become David Miscavige’s secret police). Heber and Karen married in 1978. Heber became president of the Church in 1982 and in 1984 they had a son, Alexander Jentzsch

Alexander used to call himself “the boy without a dad” because he rarely even got to see his dad… thanks to David Miscavige.

Miscavige was new on the scene, but every Scientologist knew and loved Heber. He was warm, courageous, funny and compassionate… and therefore a marked man.

When it came time for Miscavige to destroy Heber and end this marriage, he sent one of his henchmen Mike Sutter to LA to summon Karen to the dreaded Int base at Gilman Hot Springs, approximately 90 miles east of LA in the “Inland Empire” (high desert). She was imprisoned against her will and forced to do hard labor in the desert. Heber was sent away to Europe she left the Sea Org in 1990.

As Karen wrote, “I later learned from other sources that the whole 6 months incident was carrying out the DM order to get Heber to divorce me.  Either get the evidence through sec checks (interrogations) that could be used to show him I was a plant or a psych case, or break me and make me act in a psychotic fashion that would prove it to him that way.  Heber was sent to Germany and I was forbidden to use the phone, talk to Heber or talk to anyone other than my ‘handlers.’ Lockdown. Eventually the strategy worked. There was no way of fighting it.”

Karen left the Sea Org.

BECAUSE he was the son of the President of the Church, a man David Miscavige hated — I know because Miscavige practically went into convulsions of hate everytime he spoke of him at the Int base. Miscavige called him “Grampa” with a lurid lear, one of the most kind and genuine Scientologists in history — Alexander was deeply mistreated in the Sea Org.

Alexander was born and raised in the Sea Org. When just 11 years old (he had left the SO with Karen in 1990 when he was 6 and had then been recruited to return to the SO when he was 10), Heber and Karen were both located in Los Angeles and Alexander was in Clearwater.  Karen later discovered that Alexander was being used as a child slave labor at the Fort Harrison, with no schooling or study time – cleaning toilets and floors in the Fort Harrison lobby 10-12 hours a day.  Karen called OSA multiple times to tell them this violated the law.  Finally she threatened that if it was not stopped she would fly to Clearwater and extract him myself. OSA put him on a plane to Los Angeles within 24 hours.

Fast forward to 5 years ago.  Alexander is now married and his wife Andrea is pregnant. Pressure is brought to bear for an abortion. It is done skillfully – no heavy threats, but both are taken off post and made to comply at “the greatest good”.  The message was loud and clear. Alexander called Karen multiple times a day as this went down. All of the while his father, Heber, was unreachable in lockdown in Miscavige’s private prison at the the Church’s international headquarters, called “The Hole.” In the end, Andrea had an abortion and they were returned to post. But she never got over it and felts she had been forced to murder her child.

3 years later Andrea became pregnant again.  She really did want to be a mom. But now, times have changed thanks to whistle blowers, Claire and Mark Headley (my old boss during the last 6 years of my incarceration at the Int base) plus Laura Decrescenzo’s lawsuits, media exposure, Anonymous protests, and the internet which caused David Miscavige to re-think his enforced abortion policy which he put into place in 1986 after LRH died.

This time Alexander and Andrea were allowed to leave the Sea Org with the "love” of Kirsten Caetano, a remarkably callous Miscavige stooge in charge of External Security at OSA. To put fresh lipstick on Miscavige’s pig, she befriended Alexander in an unnatural, unheard of way, arranging for his apartment rent to be paid by the Church. She then helped arrange work for him at a Scientologist-owned company at a very high wage, and gives him lots of sympathy and compassion. By order of David Miscavige she stroked his feathers every way she could.  He was given $3,500 after he signed away his right to reveal any negative information about his life in the Church and oh, yes, he was also forced to disconnect from his own mother.

alexCarrying out this part of the bargain, he called his mother and told her the words he was fed (Karen heard the others in the room telling him what to say), that until she “got her shit together,” he would have nothing to do with her.

After we brewed up a storm about Heber’s horrific incarceration in the Hole, he was allowed to visit his son for rare one evening. That was the last time Alexander saw his father. But Alexander had secretly been reading this website and also Marty’s blog. As Karen recently discovered, at the end of that meeting Alexander looked his father in the eye and said, “Dad, are you sure you want to go back to that? Are you sure you can withstand this life?”

Heber said, “I have to go back, Son. I have done very very bad things in my life and I have to make amends.” That is what is called Stockholm Syndrome, also known as the “beaten spouse syndrome.” Having been abused so violently and viciously by a sociopath, the victim finally comes to idolize the tormentor and believe himself unworthy.

Now Alexander lies in a morgue. And just as Miscavige did with the death of Annie Tidman in the summer of 2011, withholding the brutal fact of Anne's death from her own family for 6 months, Miscavige tried to cover up Alexander's death. Unfortunately for him, word leaked out on facebook. What kind of "church" views human life with such cruel disdain that they withhold the fact of someone's passing from immediate family members?

Katie Holmes did the right thing when she got Suri out of David Miscavige’s death trap.

All Karen has been able to ascertain so far is that Alexander died of a ‘high fever’ in the San Fernando Valley home of the corporate Scientologist parents of Alexander’s wife.

His widow leaked on facebook what had occurred. That news got back to Mike Rinder. Mike verified the report and then contacted Karen to relay to her the horrible news that the boy with no father was not only dead but had been lying in the morgue for 3 days.

As Marty said, the depths of David Miscavige’s (Scientology Inc.’s) disregard for the sanctity of human life and family knows no bounds. It is up to the rest of us to do something about it and stop the senseless loss of life.

One thing is certain, if David Miscavige had not had his Nazi enabler, Kirsten Caetano, force Alexander to disconnect from his own mother, Alexander Jentzsch would still be alive today and living a better life than he had ever known.

I spoke with Karen tonight. She told me that despite the loss of her son, she is determined to carry on to protect other families from a similar fate.

As Robert Amblad said, “Every person who stands-up, puts another crack in DM’s suppressive wall of disconnected families.”

It is a disservice to the memory of Alexander Jentzsch for any Scientologist to remain silent about the abuses and to continue to condone and support the depraved, murderous corporation beget by David Miscavige, best friends for life with Tom Cruise.

People are putting their lives on the line to protect you. Time for you to reciprocate.

The goal is a safe environment.

Whistle-Blowers - Thoughtful
Saturday, 23 June 2012 02:10

Today Marty published a write up from Karen Hollander that tells what precipitated Diana’s getting into deep shit with David Miscavige in the summer of 2003. As his document explains, she dared to delete a section from an acceptance speech thanking COB and RTC for helping to make CC Paris attain Saint Hill size.

First of all, they didn’t really make Saint Hill size — it was a typical Miscavige stat push, with overwhelming outside intervention. Second of all, anything positive that happened in Scientology for the last three decades happened despite DM. Not because of him.

Since Diana and I spent a great deal of time together from late 1997 until December 2003, I thought I would write up some of what I know.

Through the years we became close friends and I'm not sure if she had any other terminals she could talk to as freely or safely as she could with me since everyone at the Int base was continually indoctrinated to "write up" anyone forwarding "black PR" to them in private — but I openly considered that bullshit. Hence, I was safe.

For those who do not know, Diana Hubbard and I were the two people most involved in writing DM's event videos... besides DM of course who micromanaged every element and issued some 12-14 linear feet of transcripts (instructions) on how to write every single aspect. These videos — degrading trash — along with the event speeches — verbal garbage — were the central means for the dissemination of the Great Miscavige Gospel (read, "propaganda") continually positioning Dear Leader as Top Savior and "New LRH." Ironically, Miscavige shared the same fascination with A/V as Nazi Germany's infamous minister of propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, who earlier used films to soften up the German people for the acceptance of Nazi ideology and genocide.

For our part, Diana and I were what LRH called "captive brains" — unwilling participants enslaved under heavy duress. I made no bones about the fact that I despised everything about event videos and scriptwriting under DM and hated the events because they accomplished nothing. Believe it or not I said that almost continually for six years, and all of it accomplished nothing until I finally added “and so I’m routing out of the Sea Org.”

In the mean time we labored on, two slaves chained to the same oar.

A small window

Scripts mostly got written at night, late at night, after everyone else was gone. That was really the only time it was quiet enough to write. During the day there were constant interruptions, phone calls, interrogations, screaming matches, meetings with COB, visits from his oily snob staff, meter checks, cramming officers, executives, and last but not least ethics officers and sec checkers. So that meant Diana and I (and often Dan Zimmatore) sat side by side at a computer, working our way through it all.

Diana had a small window above her desk. The IMPR office was located in what used to be a small cabana. Diana's office was in what used to be a tiny bathroom. So the small window was located high on the wall... all I could ever see out of it was a bit of tree limb and sky. How many times I saw darkness turn to daylight and all without a bit of sleep. It was a window exactly like that in a old-time prison cell. And when I gazed out I felt exactly like the prisoner I was.

Yet I was also there in the morning in her tiny office when she opened letters and presents sent to her by Mary Sue. I knew and sometimes partook from Diana's secret stash of chocolates she kept in a drawer. Diana ate a little and nibbled a lot… mostly chocolate! I shared her personal grief when Mary Sue died... and not a word was spoken... just so much dust in the wind. To speak up would have brought the house crashing down since Mary Sue was officially declared persona non grata by DM — but it was clear Diana did not share the same opinion of the lady who did more to help LRH nurture and protect Scientology throughout the tumultuous events of the '50s, '60s and '70s. She loved her mother as she loved her father and I loved it when she related a little story perhaps about life at Saint Hill.

Diana could be short tempered when she was tired — I'm the same way I'm sorry to say. We, in the Sea Org, were long on awake hours and always short on sleep. When tempers flared we just brushed it off. It was normal. Miscavige's creation called the "Int base" pitted everyone against everyone else, yet we remained friends despite everything. Time and again after finding ourselves stranded at the Int base at 4 or 5 AM, Dan Zimmatore and I caught a ride with Diana — 9 miles into Hemet.

A great thing about Diana was that there was so much of the Old Man in her. You couldn't help but see LRH's mannerisms and expressions when she talked. But Diana was also valuable because of who she was.

Together we weathered countless DM's shit storms, insane tantrums and nuclear meltdowns. And after the screaming was over and we were alone, it was usual for Diana to say to me "God, I hate this fucking place!" No one else in Int Management ever said anything like that. But with Diana, she said it all the time. I felt the same way of course, but I was pleasantly shocked to hear it coming from her.

Diana Hubbard was a terrible lemming from the get go.

We talked numerous times about her hatred for the "Int Execs" especially GL and MY because they were liars and total patsies to DM who refused to stand up to him. That was really the heart of it.

And if you doubt any of that, ask yourself if it was really an accident Diana Hubbard's office was a tiny bathroom.

Honey Badger Gives a Crap After All

Diana’s expressions of fierce contempt for DM’s patsies and ultimately DM himself built in intensity until that fateful trip to the Freewinds in June of 2003, the year when DM’s stats for violence and abuse were “straight up and vertical” — the only time he had a stat that was.

And then she went too far by cutting the King of Nothing out of his own propaganda piece. Oops. Honey Badger apparently did give a crap about that and so Diana was officially hard busted and that was a big problem for me because she had been my writing partner for six years. I secretly spoke with her in the Garage where she was working only to find out she was not displeased with being out of the hot seat.

Before she was even back on the base I was also pulled in for sec checking and roll backs due to my our close friendship. I was told by my auditor — I think it was Claire Headley — that it was well known we were close friends. We all knew who wrote the questions in our sec checks, who was talking in the auditor’s ear phone, or sending in text messages mid session causing the auditor to abruptly stop and exit for a conference only to resume with a new line of questioning — DM. And so it was little surprise when I found myself being interrogated on the meter to see if Diana and I had been privately plotting to leave together or if there had ever been any "out-2D" between us or even casual flirting or perhaps a friendly back rub? I was specifically asked if I had ever rubbed her shoulders or vice versa. Of course I came up clean. But particularly of interest to DM was if Diana had ever voiced any “black PR on COB” to me. As per usual, everyone was accused in DM's world of forwarding “black PR” on DM and anyone who was important was subjected to unrelenting accusation like having a fire hose sprayed in their face.

With Diana out of the picture the dynamics of my situation changed dramatically. Together, she and I were just able to stay afloat on Mad River Miscavige. Without her, there was no one left to help except DM patsies. It would take a super human effort to keep from going over the falls and by that time I had already been through so many cataclysms and rogue waves I had lost all fear. There is a point where threats and duress inevitably backfire.

Dan Zimmatore had faked suicide by scratching his wrists and privately chuckled about it to me because he had outwitted our jailers and bought a swift ticked off the Int base. I, along with almost every other Clear and OT, had been put back on Dianetics after spending 6 months on the Purif with Amy Scobee (who spent 8 months).

The whole base had been declared in a lower condition to DM for over a year. And of course anyone on scriptwriting or speech writing was never not in lower conditions since now matter what we did it wasn’t good enough for DM. I could go on, but why bother. Someday maybe I’ll write my own book.

Suffice it to say I had realized it was fruitless to stay. I was tired of the continuous multi-layers of punishments, tired of being unmocked at every turn. But most of all, I was dead tired of being prevented from doing anything productive to help people through Scientology. What had once been so easy was rendered utterly impossible under David Miscavige.

Marketing Strikes Back

I stumbled upon a book who’s author said the problem with Earth is it’s populated by victims. HIs message to “stop being a victim and take responsibility for yourself” hit me right between the eyes like a tomahawk. And so while scriptwriting continued without Diana I was spiritually done. I made it my business to disseminate that message to as many others as I could. It was easy to do. I simply told people about "this interesting book I had read" eventually nailing them with that empowering message. I bought extra copies and handled them out.

To replace Diana, Miscavige sent in Danny Sherman. But the previous Spring Danny had also been put through an the wringer by Miscavige and had undergone a nasty valence shift. He went into the only safe valence at the int base: as a Miscavige Mini-me (SP). Danny and I had formerly been friends, but suddenly he was cold, arrogant and entirely distant. He loathed anything not Miscavige and so he loathed me. The subsequent scripting evolution for the IAS winner videos was a blood bath the like of which I had never experienced, and I crawled through it like the living dead.

In October 2003, as we rolled into scripting the many New Years videos DM sent in more reinforcements in the form of Mike Rinder and other execs. But Mike was the only one who could write a script. In early December DM attacked and beat Mike savagely because he made an edit in a video Miscavige didn't like — of course it was not even Mike's hat but mine — if you can think with the idea that my “hat” was to write destructive videos for DM or else (“else” being I’d never see my wife again, be RPFed, lose the OT levels forever, etc.).

From the sec check questions after Diana was busted, I knew she would never again be allowed to open her mouth against Little Hitler. The jig was up and my mind was made up.

Not only that, but all staff were about to be moved from living in Hemet to living on the base inside the razor wire fences, cameras, and motion sensors. I was not the only one who saw the writing on the wall… the Int base was about to become Scientology Alcatraz.

When Miscavige discovered I had been running my own marketing campaign to spread an antidote to his suppression (the antidote being “to stop being a victim and take responsibility for yourself”) I found myself in considerable hot water. I was abruptly taken off post in December 2003 and put on manual labor. But first I had to list out everyone to whom I had spread that horrible idea, which turned out to be 35 key people one of whom was Karen Hollander. Guess the idea didn’t take on her since she’s still being a victim and refusing to take responsibility for herself.

Throughout 2003, Miscavige had been continually threatening to “offload the Int base.” Providence finally shined down on me the Sunday night when a security guard told me to report to HCO, and from there I was directed onto a waiting bus that was soon to remove the first 100 Sea Org veterans for offload to “Happy Valley” — about 16 miles from the Int base in the foothills of Mt San Jacinto. The next morning we were informed that we were all in serious trouble and all slated for permanent offload — it was intended to scare us into being good DMbots. But two out of the 100 people didn’t scare so easily and they calmly informed their keepers that we intended to leave for real.

Silver Lining

Of course I knew it wouldn't be that easy to leave, and so I already had a plan in place for that too — to convince DM that I had never been qualified for Int staff in the first place. As an expert scriptwriter I wrote a script to set myself free. And I’m proud to say DM never saw it coming. I had noted that DM would never accept a denial of wrongdoing, but he would always accept a confession of guilt no matter how far fetched. And so in my daily sec checks I began to methodically “confess” to transgressions all of which had a common denominator — each one was a specific violation of a qualification for the Int base.

Mind control is an interesting subject and I’ve experimented with it quite a lot to learn how to survive it — but only on the receiving end. I discovered there existed a silver lining for those who are being subjected to Black Scientology — the meter reads and FNs based on what is truly the greatest good.

In the worst-case scenario where captors are using Scientology to suppress, entrap and coerce you toward death, you can freely lie to them and the meter will FN. When you need it to read on something that is not charged, it will read. And no matter how many times the auditor checks for a false read, even though it is a false read, it will not register as one. And when you really think about it, it all makes perfect sense.

As Marty has hinted, the whole thrust of Scientology is to heal through understanding. When Scientology technology is used instead to injure through lies you can freely flaunt your suppressors and the tech itself will protect you.

The tech will protect you.

Just as LRH said.

Diana was a fighter. And I predict she will leave.

The only way to help Scientology today is to leave the Church and publicly speak out LOUD and CLEAR against the violence, abuse and criminality. Because despite what David Miscavige would have everyone believe (thanks to the embedded false data contained in his endless propaganda videos and speeches) violence, abuse and criminality have NOTHING to do with healing through understanding.

Dear Mr. Phillips:

It has come to my attention that you have a picture and my name on the front page of your website under the banner “Exposing Religious Intolerance” and mixed in with the pictures and names of convicted felons and notorious anti-religionists, such as the infamous Ted Patrick who was once found guilty and jailed for kidnaping and “deprogramming” people into giving up their religious beliefs and membership.

This is guilt by association, and also libelous.  Nothing in my history remotely qualifies me for this category.  Moreover, my name links to a page filled with false and vicious claims about me, basically calling me psychotic and a liar, a clear attack on my character.  Not only is the information false and libelous, but it is obviously intended to subject me to ridicule and hatred and harm me financially.  I feel physically and financially threatened by it and regard it as a form of extortion designed to silence and harass me for my role in blowing the whistle on the abuses of David Miscavige that I personally witnessed and experienced while a member of the Sea Org at the International Base (“Int Base”) outside Hemet, California.

Recently, yet another former high-ranking Sea Org member has gone public with abuse stories similar to mine. Debbie Cook, a 29-year member of the Sea Org and the Captain of the Flag Service Organization for 17 years, testified under oath in a Texas Court that she witnessed David Miscavige pummel Marc Yager just as I witnessed, one of Scientology’s highest ranking international executives and was herself the brunt of physical abuse by order of Miscavige — as was I.  She told of being taken to “the Hole,” a double-wide trailer with bars on the windows and a guard at the door where she was kept for 7 weeks.  Dozens of other international executives were also imprisoned there and forced to sleep on an ant-infested floor.  She testified that Miscavige beat another staff member and then forced him to lick a bathroom floor for half an hour.

This is the sort of behavior I refuse to tolerate and am working to expose.  Such conduct is not religious, it is not Scientology.  I am a Scientologist myself and am tolerant of other religions.

You may choose not to believe me, Debbie, and many other whistleblowers — all former high-ranking Sea Org members who are making similar claims, but you weren’t there and I was.  You have never contacted me to verify your statements nor obtain my version of the events.  Obviously, you were not present and have no first hand information.  At best, you are relying on information given you.  At worst, you made it up.

An investigation of the facts and circumstances would clear the air and determine the truth of the matter.  The convening authority for worldwide matters, the Executive Director International, Guilliame LeServe, however, is not on post.  David Miscavige removed him, even though Miscavige lacks the power to do so under LRH policy and corporate bylaws.  I know; I saw Guilliame imprisoned in the same gulag that came to be known at “the Hole.”  There are no internal mechanisms to handle the current situation.  Miscavige has eliminated all the internal checks and balances put in place by LRH.

I chose to go public with my claims rather than remain silent.  The choice was clear: either speak up and use the heart of Scientology — communication and confront — to strike a blow to the cancer killing Scientology or remain silent while people were being harmed and abused through the criminal actions of a corrupt dictator who believes himself to be above the law.

I view your actions to be in retaliation for me speaking out.  I know the game.  Your orders ultimately emanate from OSA Int, which, in turn, is micro-managed by David Miscavige, however the actual channels of communication have been disguised.  Clearly, you are acting on orders, not an independent investigation.

Not only do the things said about me by you defame me, but, they harass and subject me to hatred and ridicule that put me in fear for my safety.  Because you falsely position me as being anti-Scientology, rather than pro-Scientology/anti-abuses of Miscavige, and because Miscavige has exalted himself as some sort of supreme ruler and savior of Scientology in the eyes of many members who refuse to make independent investigations or think for themselves, I fear that one of your misinformed website visitors may harm me physically as a righteous act.

Perhaps unknown to you, the defamatory and hateful content on your website concerning me — and other whistleblowers against Miscavige’s inhumane treatment of Int Base staff — is just one of many hate websites naming me (and other whistleblowers).  Each and every one of them emanate from Miscavige through whatever channels, however disguised.  As you are fully aware, no Scientologist in good standing would dare make a public statement concerning Scientology without clearance from OSA.

Additional information that may be unknown to you is that the hate websites are only one component of Miscavige’s retaliatory campaign against me and other whistleblowers.  He has directed Scientologists to physically harass whistleblowers in front of their homes.  He has directed private investigators to surveil us.  He has sent teams of Scientologists to badger us, and to contact us by phone and through email making attempts to coerce our silence.  He has tracked the airplane flights of whistleblowers through an in-house travel agency, knowing when we booked a flight and having investigators at the other end waiting for our arrivals.  Apparently he has illegally obtained private information, such as phone records and even had email accounts illegally hacked into.

Your actions against me are part of a pattern of conduct which combine to make a credible threat that I will be physically and otherwise harmed unless and until I discontinue my efforts to expose Miscavige’s criminal actions and abuses.

Therefore, your conduct violates state and federal cyberstalking laws, 18 USC Sec. 2261A and California Penal Code Sec. 653, as well as California Code Sec. 646.9.  Section 646.9 defines “credible threat” to include a “threat implied by a pattern of conduct or a combination of verbal, written, or electronically communicated statements and conduct. (Emphasis added.)

Your crimes constitute “hate crimes” under both California and federal law.  See, e.g., California Penal Code Secs. 422.55 & 422.6 because they are clearly motivated by hatred toward the exercise of my religion.  I am an independent Scientologist and am associated with persons who have also left the Church of Scientology to practice their religion independently of the Church.

Please take special note: California law also creates a right of action in Civil Code Sec. 1708.7.

I request that you immediately cease and desist carrying my name or image on your website.  Otherwise, I intend to seek legal redress.

Mr. Phillips, we don’t know each other.  I have asked around about you and have learned that you are, as I am, a Scientologist, a professional, and a successful businessman.  I have been persuaded that your criminal actions against me are atypical of your character and personality.

Let me point out what I believe are applicable LRH references.

You seem to be unaware of my lengthy service in the Sea Org, and my substantial contributions to Scientology.  Please see the attached.  I encourage you to investigate my record and compare it to the contributions of other Scientologists you know, including your own.

I am in a different category by LRH policy than a person such as Ted Patrick, who was never a Scientologist and even publicly called Scientology a fraud.  Unlike me, he was truly religiously intolerant.  You cannot honestly compare me to him.

Furthermore, LRH warned us not to treat Scientologists who leave or are let go as though they have evil intentions.  See, the lecture entitled “Attitude & Conduct of Scientology,” dated 3 November 1955 from the 4th London ACC.  In that lecture he said, among other things, the following:

● “It’s because they are people of good intention.  And by saying that these people are not fit to associate with us anymore, we have told a lie of magnitude.  This is not true.  It’s never true.  You got it?”

● “Our inability to understand the actions of other Scientologists has a very fascinating barrier.  The limitation on our understanding is simply this: we say they have bad intentions, and that is a lie.  Got it?

“So the whole situation is liable to enturbulate around that postulated bad intention.  That’s what enturbulates the situation.  That makes a lie.

“The situation then becomes unsolvable.  Because we’ve entered a changing factor called a lie into it.”

Note: This explains why we have a growing independent movement in Scientology, bad press and Internet, governmental investigations.  The situation isn’t resolving and won’t resolve by falsely labeling, attacking, and harassing whistleblowers.

● “This guy says he’s been hurt, he’s screaming to high heaven, let’s try and give him a hand.

“In view of the fact that he’s in Scientology the probability is that he’s – actually has been hurt.  See?  He probably...that’s the... the probabilities are very in favor of that.  And he isn’t just standing there screaming, or she isn’t just standing there screaming and saying, “I’ve been done in,” just to stand there and say, “I’ve been done in,” see?”

Note: Precisely.  When I learned the correct legal definitions of words like “assault” and “battery” I understood for the first time that I myself had clearly been assaulted and battered by David Miscavige on multiple occasions in addition to being falsely imprisoned at the Int Base on numerous occasions. So were others. It really happened, and is probably continuing to happen, Mr. Phillips. I witnessed many others being assaulted and battered by David Miscavige. The single instance that you site on your website, although you were not even there, happened not in November 2003 but in the first part of December and the assailant, David Miscavige, was there.

● “Well, I hate to unsettle a very stable datum, if it does unsettle it.  But the only way anything ever does resolve is by letting your own kind heart reach through.  That’s the only way it ever does solve. And it never solves by being tough.”

● “But we do not, I repeat, do not, separate them from Scientology or Scientology organizations, nor at any moment fail to give them organizational support or cooperation in the starting of any new activity in which they wish to engage for the benefit of Scientology.  You got that?

“In other words, the arduous lesson along this line is that no-communication lists, revocation/suspension of certificates, court action of any kind whatsoever within the realm of Scientology and so forth, is not only – not only difficult to do but does not work.  That’s just the end of it. It just doesn’t work.  It’s for the sea gulls.  That might work in Gestetner Limited or Westinghouse, but it does not work in Scientology.  Got that?”

As LRH also said in this lecture, people who leave the Church “seldom go off and suck their thumbs dismally.”  We are former Sea Org members.  We will not rest until the crimes and inhumane treatment by David Miscavige are brought to light for one significant reason: others are still at risk.

Second, I refer you to The Third Party Law, which I contend is at play here.  You don’t know me or what I witnessed at Int Base.  You have been “told” that I am a bad guy, a liar who falsely claims that Miscavige committed crimes.  Today in Scientology, we have a fractured membership, each side pitted against the other.

Consider a third party at work.  Consider the possibility that Miscavige is really brutal and, in the words of Debbie Cook, “vicious beyond belief.”

You are a businessman.  If you were accused of torturing and assaulting your employees, what would you do?  Try to defame, harass and subject your accusers to hatred and ridicule that put them in fear for their safety? If dozens of parties came forward over a period substantiating those same charges, would the co-owners of your business continue to ignore their allegations if you slandered them?  What if those charges were being made against one of your employees?  Would you not investigate?

I know the answer to those questions.  You/they would independently investigate the charges.  If the accusers really were liars, lawful action would be taken against them.  If there was merit to the charges, you or the employee would be let go.  Professionals and responsible people don’t rely on intimidation and slander as defenses to serious charges; they investigate and handle the underlying situations.  In your job, you wouldn’t accept your employees using against their critics the same kind of tactics and invective you have used against me.

I suggest that an honest investigation by you or others would reveal a third party at work and lead to a resolution of the overall situation, blowing charge for the group and allowing us to establish ARC (affinity + reality + communication = understanding) and join together to take Scientology’s true message to the world.

Apparently Miscavige is afraid of an honest investigation and would rather hide in the chaos created by engaging in a campaign of libel and other illegal retaliatory actions.

I am not against the Church; I am a loyal Scientologist against criminality, abuse, intolerance and corruption.

A copy of this letter is being directed to your company’s co-owners and its underwriter for their roles and legal responsibility in the website.

A copy of this letter is also being sent to David Miscavige. He bears ultimate responsibility for the overall, multi-pronged retaliatory program against me and others who have blown the whistle on his own criminal actions and inhuman treatment of staff members.

Regardless of what David Miscavige does, I insist that you comply with the law.

I hereby demand that you cease and desist your online attacks against me.  Please remove my name and photograph, as well as the offensive, demeaning, degrading, false, scandalous, harassing, threatening statements, from any and all web pages on your site, and links to pages containing them, and notify me that you have done so.

Sincerely,

Steve Hall

My Scientology Production Record

I am a 20-year Sea Org veteran, posted for 15 years at the Int base.

I joined Church staff at a Class IV organization in 1982, training as an auditor and auditing in the Hubbard Guidance Center (“HGC”). While in LA to do advanced auditor training on the Saint Hill Special Briefing Course (“SHSBC”)  and advanced auditing (“OT levels”) at the Advanced Organization of Los Angeles (“AOLA”) in 1984, I joined the Sea Org after completing OT I.  Due to exemplary qualifications (which included having a flawless ethics record, excellent production record, high IQ and “no glaring outpoints” in character, I was recruited directly into the Commodore’s Messenger Organization International (“CMOI”) which is part of the Church’s “international management.”

Needing to complete the OT levels myself, I was transferred to Flag to head Solo–OT III delivery. In exchange, CMOI received a Class XII auditor which might give you an idea of my perceived value even as a new Sea Org member. While getting through the OT levels myself, I got 100 others through OT III, launched a marketing campaign that resulted in record numbers on Solo training, trained up as a Class IV auditor and interned in Flag’s Case Cracking HGC.

Because of my 10-year professional background in visual merchandising and displays, in 1987 I transferred back to Int Management level for the formation of the new Central Marketing Unit under Ronnie Miscavige (David’s brother).

I underwent another round of security checks in 1989 after David Miscavige ordered the Central Marketing Unit be moved to the Int base so all of International management was in one location. Every detail of my qualifications for post was examined in detail and I not only passed with flying colors, I was invited and fully cleared to join RTC in 1989. I turned them down.

Soon I was heading up Dianetics marketing for the Church. By 1991 my creative abilities were discovered and a new post was created for me, Senior Writer. Throughout the next decade I coined dozens of successful marketing slogans and tag lines (some still in use). Maybe you recall seeing some of them.

  • "Know yourself. Know life." general Scientology (still in use)
  • "You're on an adventure. Here's the map" Basics books and lectures (still in use)
  • "Destination OT" Flag World Tour
  • "Uncle Sam wants YOU to go up the Bridge." Donations
  • “Whatever problem you bring to Flag, it won’t follow you home.” (best ad in Flag’s history)
  • “The Read Magnifier” Quantum E-Meter
  • "When life's a battleground, your mind is the best weapon." DMSMH book
  • "You always loved the great explorers. Now you can be one." DMSMH book
  • “Say goodbye to the inside of your head” Philadelphia Doctorate Course Lectures
  • “Scientology will open your eyes. And you’re going to like what you see.” NSOL book
  • “Your search is over, but the adventure has just begun” FOT book
  • “Searching for the ultimate answers to life? Welcome to the finish line.” FOT book
  • “Because the most powerful force of nature, is you.” Scientology 8-8008 book
  • “You won’t believe what the past can teach you.” History of Man book
  • “At Flag, every room comes with a beautiful view (the back of your head.)” Flag
  • "Welcome to the new world of Scientology" Orientation film
  • “What really happens when we’re unconscious?” Evolution of a Science film
  • “Can honesty repair what secrets destroyed?” Married Couple film
  • "Once upon a time you had your own universe. What makes you think its not still there?" Admiration Lectures
  • “Misconceptions can be deadly” New OT V
  • “What do you say when you’ve just expanded to the size of the universe? End of Session.” Solo NOTs
  • “All the things you think you can't remember aren't even what you've actually forgotten.” New OT VIII
  • "Earth was colonized 35,000 years ago. You arrived in an ice cube." History of Man
  • “Scientology makes sense. Literally.” Scientology IQ ad
  • “When the Scarecrow asked for brains, he had the right idea.” Scientology IQ ad
  • "The dirtiest word in Scientology: spectator." Become an FSM
  • “If you saw someone in a life or death situation, would you help? What if it was a whole planet instead?” Recruitment
  • “If Scientology could really improve intelligence and rehabilitate spiritual abilities, it would be the greatest breakthrough the world had ever known. Exactly.” What is Scientology? book

In 1992, I designed and built the Preservation of the Tech Exhibit at Flag which earned more than $2 million for Church of Spiritual Technology (“CST”). For 10 years I built large displays to launch new releases at all of Scientology’s major events around the world, six times a year. I was also the person who introduced the concept of using displays for dissemination and the result of that is now in every Ideal Org’s Division 6.

I was the only advertising person in history able to get an existing LRH Scientology book (not Dianetics) onto trade bestseller lists. In 1998 I did it with both New Slant on Life (“NSOL”) and Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought (“FOT”).

All in all, I had 110,000 words published by the Church to promote all 286 LRH products and services on the Bridge — every book, auditing level, rundown and course for 44 separate Church corporations, including 150 brochures, 125 films and videos, 40 TV spots airing on national TV, 37 tech film ads, 4 complete Church websites (including dianetics.org 2002 - 2008 through which I sold more Dianetics Kits than anyone in history). I scripted numerous Scientology Public Films and even portions of LRH Tech Films; eleven videos for Flag, Freewinds and Sea Org World Tours (two of which bumped International Gross Income (“Int GI”) by $65 million); 18 International Association of Scientologists (“IAS”) Winner Videos; scores of event videos (1997-2001). I wrote ads (and also articles) printed in hundreds of Church magazines, including: Source, Freewinds, Advance!, Auditor, Celebrity, Ability, Int Scientology News, KSW News and Impact. I created the Adventure Newsletter which sold out volume after volume of the Research and Discovery Series. I wrote back matter, more info cards and cover copy for trade paperbacks, hard cover and mass market books including multiple editions of Dianetics. Besides writing scripts, I created the marketing for numerous Scientology Public films including Evolution of a Science, Dynamics of Life, Married Couple, Orientation, and more. I also wrote the marketing copy for the Classics, Premier Series, Basics, Congresses and Milestones.

To write about every Scientology service I had to learn everything about it including reading everything LRH wrote about each service. I am a Volunteer Minister, an ordained Scientology minister, a Book One auditor, Happiness Rundown (“HRD”)  Auditor, Class IV Auditor, and a Hubbard Senior Security Checker. I’m Flag trained, Sea Org trained, Exec trained, Tech trained, PTS-SP trained, Ethics trained, trained on Organization Executive Course (“OEC”) policy, trained on LRH management tech, trained to be a student and trained as an auditor. I’m trained in marketing and trained in public relations. My Flag OK to operate an E-Meter is good for life, I’m OT V, KTL/LOC, OT Doctorate, Pro TRs, fully hatted as a Flag D of P, Advanced Courses Solo I/C, Scientology project engineer, programs ops, marketing manager, copywriter, and scriptwriter. I’ve trained dozens of Book One auditors and led Book One workshops and seminars. I’ve delivered assists in emergency situations. I’m trained on the Art Series, Marketing Series, PR Series, Admin Know-How Series, Data Series, Org Series, Target Series, Computer Series and more.

And all the above I did either to help others or to make myself more able to help others. So, as you can see, far from being religiously intolerant, I am a dedicated Scientologist with a long list of contributions, more than most. Per LRH,

“If almost any person in the Sea Organization were to appear in a Scientology group or Org he would be lionized, red-carpeted and Very-Important-Personed beyond belief. For the Sea Organization is composed of the ‘aristocracy’ of Scientology.

“These people, alone and on their own are all stars in the sky of their areas. It is like one of the old regiments of gentlemen where any private would be, in another but common regiment, a colonel...

“The Sea Organization is composed of people who alone would excite great admiration but who together, well organized, can actually get the job done. And although our lowest deck hand could be a ‘duke’ only all of us together could get on with the job.” — LRH

The Sea Org is the aristocracy of Scientology and the aristocracy of the Sea Org was at the Int base. With the exception of a few orgs such as ASI and CST, any Sea Org members not at the Int base didn’t qualify for the Int base.

Therefore, the true facts do not support the false vilifications about me on your website.

Sincerely,

Steve Hall

Is the Church of Scientology dead?

Some have speculated if the CoS is dead. Actually the Church of Scientology is below death. Observe and you will see the tone level of the CoS is "-3.0 Owning Bodies." Just consider the tone level and crazy reaction of the four Stepford ex-wives on CNN — "owning bodies" or pretty darn close. They even twice made statements like, "I know every inch his body...."

The tone level of the Squirrel Busters was even lower: -3.5 Approval from Bodies — David Miscavige being the body they were seeking approval from.

The tone level of Int base as a whole: even lower, -6.0 Sacrifice.

DM's tone level currently: even lower, -8.0 Hiding, bordering into -10.0 Being Objects (the COB).

As for the CoS's chance for resurrection, the CoS would have to recant and come to its senses. The steps they must follow are laid out in Steps A to E of the Scientology Ethics book — the steps to be taken by a suppressive person or group. There is no such thing as a problem that cannot be handled.  We'd see a public announcement going out on all lines — on talk shows, world wide, etc. until hundreds of millions of people knew of it — to the effect that they realize their actions were ignorant and unfounded and stating where possible the influences and motivations which caused them to attempt to destroy their own philosophy. And you'd see that announcement calculated to expose DM's little conspiracy. We'd see the correct Who's all thrown into the slammer after which we'd throw away the key.

We'd see the CoS paying off all debts to parishioners and governments — that means all the money they stole would have to be returned to everyone who wanted it back. Massive, massive amounts of money.

We'd see a planetary amends project of a magnitude and scale the like of which no one has ever heard of. That amends project would surely include but in no way be limited to, the complete review of all Scientology and Sea Org "policy" and cancellation of all destructive policies implemented by DM (like enforced abortions and prohibitions blocking Sea Org members from having children); or issues LRH himself cancelled (like disconnection); or which violate the laws, or the spirit of human rights as it continues to evolve around the world; or which stand at odds with the fundamental principles of Scientology itself, e.g. the ideals of compassion, ARC and the goal of understanding.

The Church of Scientology would have to rediscover it’s purpose (since it is grossly off purpose). It would have to suffer on up through the conditions.

We'd see all staff, supporters, Scientologists who failed to blow the whistle and thus condoned this disaster suffering along with it, re-training from the bottom up. With the correct Why in place and with the correct Who's indicated, using real Scientology, many of these people could recover I believe. Some would probably not make it.

Is the CoS likely to direct that kind of recovery from within? Not an ice cube's chance in hell — the chance for that is already gone!  The Church of Scientology missed their chance the day we set upon the Why that opened the door to a handling. That day came and passed in December 2008.

We're already reforming the CoS from without and they aren't likely to take the hat anytime soon because they are nothing but badly broken pieces. They are certainly not players, nor even pieces.

Is reform the correct thing to push for? No — the correct thing to push for is getting in ethics meanwhile bypassing the broken lines and terminals of the CoS and getting delivery going anyway we can. In short, putting in order. If the CoS comes around, great. If they don't, it won’t matter anyway. In the end, the truth is going to prevail.

In my opinion, history (e.g. the reformation of past churches) do not provide a proper comparison for one big reason: they lacked the technology of Scientology. However, there is one part of history we can look to with validity: within Scientology's own time track.

Originally LRH created the HDRF (Hubbard Dianetics Research Foundation) to get the show on the road. They failed. So LRH created a new organization: the HASI. (These are just broad strokes). Later, they failed. And so LRH created World Wide. World Wide failed and so he created the Church of Scientology of California. Then they failed. But these are just the names of corporations — bodies on the third dynamic that live, survive for a time, and die.

LRH is no longer here to create a new group to get the show on the road.

So we already did exactly what he would have expected us to do: take the hat and act decisively.

A new Scientology already formed somewhat spontaneously. We are it: the responsible.

LRH drew an allusion of responsibility to a pair of Boots in the Sky — always there, just waiting for someone to put on the boots and walk. This is what Scientology is all about ultimately. Moving people up a Bridge until they can put on the boots and help lead the rest to genuine understanding. We are doing it like never before. We have reached a new plateau and Independent Scientologists are the first to step foot upon this green pasture.

While not that much auditing and training are happening yet in the independent field, we are rich in understanding like none before us. As a group, we have left the band of other-determinism and finally come full circle where infinity and zero meet: that point is where you realize what LRH meant when he said, what is true in Scientology is what is true for YOU.

Ethics is a tech that runs very deep. It's ramifications are far reaching to say the least.

What was once called the "Church of Scientology" went south, died and kept going down. But Scientology has risen from the ashes. It is going on as we speak. The real custodians of the Bridge are those who move upon it and arrive to the other side.

It's not a matter of gold braid. Or who people listen to. Or who has 1.5 billion dollars stashed in his Battlefield-Earth-the-movie basketball-sized codpiece.

Who is willing to put on the Boots in the Sky? They are the custodians of Scientology.

“What is the essential difference between what I’m doing in Scientology and other people? It is because I’m brighter? No, no. Huh-uh. It is because I know more? Nah. No, there’s really only one thing, is I recognize that it’s my job. I recognize anybody has this job. You see, anybody has this job. and there was this great big pair of boots and they were sitting right in the middle of this universe and they were awfully big boots and you could get down amongst them with telescopes. You could look the length and breath of them and find absolutely nothing inhabiting them.

“And it says— in these boots, it just simply said, “These are the boots which go down a road which leads out of this joint.” Other people had been driving spaceships through them and playing hopscotch in them and so on, which they ever did see them and so on. They were sitting right there.

“They sat on the doorstep of every door that has ever been covered with crepe. They sat on the doorstep of every bank that ever reneged on a pledged agreement or refused a loan to somebody who was desperate. They sat on the doorstep of every church which itself was pretending to take vast responsibility. They fell across every single boulevard and progress that Man ever thought he could make. He could go ahead and take responsibility for destroying culture, but not for helping a single individual in it. Ho! fascinating!

“Why, those boots—though you look at those boots and they weren’t even big boots. They were little boots, little kids’ boots—wasn’t anything to them. And what’d you do? You just threw some space out that big, that’s all. And then you narrowed the space down to the universe of one man and you found out he was a highly representative man and then you took a look. The boots were very wearable.

“And they’re very, very simple boots. But what do you know? These boots have a catch to them. They aren’t just one man’s boots. They were every man’s boots. And because I essayed to take a few steps in them and square them around and find out where the road was and what leather they were made out of, didn’t absolve a single individual who cared to benefit from those boots, from wearing them. And that is the grimmest joke of all.

“A person has to come up the scale so that he can take responsibility for himself and all of his fellows and the whole cockeyed, condemned universe before he can walk down that road out. Isn’t that fascinating?

“… these boots are called responsibility.” — LRH, 11 Dec 1952

Broadly speaking, an Independent Scientologist is someone who has, for the first time, put on those boots of responsibility instead of assuming an organization can do it for you. In that regard, perhaps the death of the Church was the best thing to ever happen to us.

You and I, we’ve experienced years and years of intentional mis-application of Ethics tech — Scientology being used in reverse to introvert, degrade and enslave. DM's attempt to destroy us failed because within Scientology, we also had the antidote thanks to LRH.

We’ve also seen a false reformation in 1981 where the old bad Guardian’s Office, the largest private intelligence organization in the world, was “disbanded” and "reformed." But who ran that “reformation”? A leopard that never really changed his spots: David Miscavige.

Just because you saw the tech used wrongly, doesn’t mean the tech doesn’t work. Just because you saw a reformation that failed doesn't mean an organization can't be reformed particularly with what we know.

As I’ve said many times, Scientology is like a pump. A pump can be used to get water out of your basement in a flood; used in reverse, it can flood a home and drown everyone.

Properly used, Scientology makes free beings. Used in reverse it makes degraded slaves.

Any technology is like that. Technology can be used sensibly for good. Or it can be used for evil. A cell phone can bring you the freedom of mobility. Or it can be used to locate you for an ambush. Iron bars, motion detectors, cameras, razor wire and security guards can be used for protection. Or they can be used to keep Scientology staff at the Int base from escaping. A car can bring you greater freedom. Or it can be used to kidnap.

If someone wants to turn their back on Scientology technology because it was used harmfully, why not also include all the technology that David Miscavige uses to harm others — iron bars, cell phones, cameras, razor wire, cars, computers, uniforms, buildings, the legal system, money… the list goes on.

Can the Church be brought back from the dead? Are you kidding? Of course. If the right person (or really, it would take a group) were in charge... i.e., someone who possessed the keynote of wisdom.

Scientology is the first subject to map the entire route from -40.0 Total Failure to 40.0 Serenity of Beingness. All the tech, every process, all the Grades, Levels, books, courses, Policy, the Org Board, every scale, model session, pc indicators, the communication formula, ARC, KRC, the Eight Dynamics, NOTs, Creative Processing, Ethics, Conditions formulas, “OT Orgs” Policy, Third Dynamic De-aberration, and even the steps that a suppressive person or group must take should they come to their senses and recant — it’s all there. We have EVERYTHING necessary.

Properly used, what does Scientology do if not bring the dead back to life?

Open your eyes.

Don’t you see how this will play out? Look forward for a moment. By bringing this malignant, criminally insane, organizational tumor back from far beyond death, we will also demonstrate (the best kind of advertising) for the entire world the power of the tech to revive the living dead. It will be the biggest single dissemination event in Scientology’s history.

Remember the old salesman’s challenge: if it’s so good let's see you drink some first.

Well, if Scientology really works, let’s see you transform your own Church since they’re about as bad and damaged as any group could be.

Are you up to the task? It’s a big challenge. But the bigger the challenge, the bigger the prize.

By forcing the Church to get honest and straight (and that means GIVE THE MONEY BACK) (and once that begins, once people see ethics change, not everyone will even want their money back), to make amends on a worldwide scale using all the resources at its disposal, bringing all of its assets and prices into alignment with the overarching purpose of HELPING human beings, human beings will reciprocate by welcoming the new Scientology and everything it stands for.

But it even goes further than that. The other day on Marty's blog I posted a note about the difference between religion and spirituality. “Religion is for people who fear death. Spirituality is for people who have already been there.” You are going to see a transformation in the beingness of the Church of Scientology. While it may still legally be a religion, it will come into its own as a truly transformative spiritual entity — think generous instead of greedy, magnanimous instead of condemning, giving instead of taking, patient instead of hysterical, courageous instead of cowardly, wise instead of blind.

Human beings are not stupid. When they see the Church transformed before their eyes, after 30 years of deplorable madness (and that means the Church must fully, fully, fully make far-reaching amends for all the harm it has caused), why the world will know the Church is worthy of trust and it will welcome Scientologists with open arms because they will have seen not only what we really stand for but what the tech can do.

But here’s the kicker. I misled you slightly. When I said “don’t you see how it will play out” and when I mentioned if only the right group “were” in charge… well, I used the wrong verb tense.

The scenario I described already IS playing out. The right people ARE in charge — it’s you and me and Marty and Mike and all the many others both inside Scientology and out who are playing a part in bringing the Church to task. "He who holds the power of an organisation is that person who holds its communication lines and who is a crossroad of the comunications." — LRH (from How to Live Though an Executive) Everyone may play any role they are capable of playing. We have the rapt attention of the world. People are fascinated!

That doesn’t mean any of us would ever be willing go back to the Int base and put on a uniform (an emeny line from David Miscavige). No, no, no.  Are you kidding? Been there, done that and got the scar tissue. I think I speak for all of us when I say, we all plan to keep our lives the way they are. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t in charge. Those "in charge" in the Church have never done anything but play “I’m David Miscavige’s prisoner” inside those Boots in the Sky.

The Church of Scientology is not dead. Good lord, it’s far worse than that!

But we have everything we need to bring it back to life. We are fixing it right now and you are playing a part.

That is where we are.
