A year ago today I had just completed the eval that resulted in this website. A year later, we've come a long way.

The truth is coming out and a pattern of heavy deceit has emerged. It is no exaggeration to say that David Miscavige has been lying to us from the start with nearly unimaginable malice... a malice that freely lied to LRH for the last five years of his life, that took out Mary Sue Hubbard and made her an outcast, that destroyed the lives of so many Scientologists and now the repute of Scientology as a whole. The more we learn, the more the treason roils before us like a mushroom cloud.

So today, on the anniversary of LRH's birthday, it is surely fitting to learn more about LRH's final years. I received this document from a friend just tonight and read it for the first time. I believe it was written some time ago. I don't know how old it is. But it's from the auditor who saved LRH's life in 1978 and it is certainly time his story was told.

Recollections

By David Mayo

AS YOU PROBABLY ARE aware, I used to hold the post of Senior C/S Flag. That was until the end of 1978. Let me start this narrative article from that point.

In September of 1978. I was sitting in my office one day C/Sing some folders and a messenger came into the office with a telex which was one of these very secret “your eyes only” telexes. So I grabbed some clothes, raced off to the airport at Tampa and caught a plane to Los Angeles. I arrived in Los Angeles at night. As I'm sure you all know, the Sea Org places a great significance on what they call security. There was to be one security-cleared person meeting me at the airport and nobody else was supposed to know he was coming to meet me. It was very confidential and I had to go with him. I was still quite mystified as to why I was being called to California. We took off down the highway and headed off toward Palm Springs.

A security breach!

After we got started down the freeway he said, "Look, no offense or anything, but you have to wear these dark glasses". I said, "Why? It's night time". He has a pair of sunglasses they'd sprayed aluminum paint on the inside of so that you couldn't see through them and he wanted me to put these on so I wouldn't see where we were going as it was so secret that even I shouldn't know. It was about one o'clock in the morning by this time and I'd been flying for many hours and could do with some sleep. I put the glasses on and dozed off. We eventually came to the exit we were going to take near Palm Springs and the driver almost overshot it. He hit the brakes suddenly and I was jostled and the glasses flew off just as the sign came up on the freeway that said "Indio Exit". I picked up the glasses and put them back on. The guy who was driving said “Oh God! I hope you didn't see that sign”. I said, “Well, you'd get into trouble if I did, wouldn’t you?” "Yeah". He said. I responded, “Then I didn’t see anything about Indio". And he said, “Oh, great”.

Hubbard ill

Finally we arrived at the headquarters of CMO Int, La Quinta at about four o’clock in the morning. I was taken into the house where LRH was living and was told that LRH had become quite ill and they were concerned whether he was going to live or not and that was why I had been brought there. I had some of his folders given to me, I studied them and got ready to give him a session. It had been some time since I had seen LRH. When I went into his bedroom I must admit I got quite a shock, because the last time I'd seen him he'd been full of energy and active and it was a surprise to see him lying on his back in the bed and in the physical condition he was in.

I had some folders and the main thing that I could see from the folders was that he’d been having quite a lot of auditing on NED and that there were various strange indications. His TA had been getting higher and higher and the needle had been getting tighter. Various somatics had been turning on and the more somatics that turned on, the more they'd try and run these somatics out with NED and then more somatics would turn on, and so on.

Hubbard's condition and handling it

He wasn't able to speak. He was lying there almost in a coma although he had his eyes open. When I went into the room and said hello to him his eyes flickered and he gave a little smile. I put the cans in his hands. From the folder I'd ascertained certain things that were probably the cause of the bypassed charge and I'd written up a little C/S. The first thing I did was ask these questions to locate the bypassed charge. His TA was up around five or five and a quarter and the needle was almost stuck. I had to have the sensitivity cranked up to get any reads and when I checked through my list of possible sources of bypassed charge and got something that read, I indicated it and the TA came down about a quarter of a division, and we got a very, very small F/N, at which point I ended the first assist.

Then about an hour or two later I did another short assist session, and this time at the end of that session he was talking. Two hours later I did the third session. During that session he got up out of bed and sat in the chair and it lasted for about a quarter of an hour and we got normal F/N at the session end. He was starting to smile and even cracked a little joke. From then on in September '78 I audited him daily. Usually about two sessions a day, sometimes three sessions a day, for quite some time thereafter.

Because my post was Senior C/S Flag and I had been absent for some time from Flag, people were starting to ask questions as to where I was. The CMO decided to invent a “shore story”. A “shore story” is Sea Org slang for a story that is false. It's intended to give people something to think about so that they won't consider the real reason.

Where am I?

Anyway, it wasn't a very big secret for very long and at that point I still didn't know where I was located. They'd done all sorts of funny things there at CMO Int. They had taken all the local newspapers away and disconnected the TV in case I'd accidentally see what channels were on, but they left all the telephone books beside the telephones. Then one day I said that a friend of mine's birthday was coming up and I wanted to be able to go to town and buy a birthday present and mail it off. So somebody said, “Oh sure”. And I got in the car with them and we went into town and bought a birthday present and then at some time later it was decided that it would be okay for me to know where I was.

NED for OTs (NOTs)

Regarding the auditing I was doing on LRH in September '78, it was out of that auditing that the whole subject of NOTs, or Ned for OTs, was developed. Within a month LRH had fully recovered his health and was active again. That was an extremely pleasing thing, and I felt it was a great honor at the time to have been his auditor and C/S throughout that period. I did the auditing and I also C/Sed the folder between sessions because there wasn't anybody else to do it.

Most of the techniques I was using at the time, had to be developed between each session. Initially I set out to help him recover his health and that was accomplished. Then from that point on we started to discover that we were making some very astounding gains with this auditing. And then he asked me to make it possible for other people to get trained on these techniques so it could be released, and Scientologists generally would be able to get this same rundown. So in late November and December of 1978 he asked me to write up all of the techniques and processes and all the technical data involved so it could be exported.

Most of my days at that time were spent either auditing him or getting the next C/S ready for the next session, or typing up the materials that had been run thus far. Then I'd go into his office and we'd sit down and he would read over the write-ups, which later became HCOBs. He would read over them and we would discuss them and sometimes he would make additions to them or change the writing style so that it would more closely emulate his. By late December the majority of it was completed. We had a check sheet together and a mission was sent off to Flag to train the first NOTs auditors at Flag. I was still auditing LRH at the time so other people were sent on that mission and then, toward the end of it, I flew out there and helped do the final training on them, and the training of the C/Ses who were going to C/S it.

That was the release of NED for OTs in the end of 1978 and early 1979. Flag, and later the AOs, got a tremendous boom throughout 1979 on NOTs. That went on for some years.

After the release of NOTs at Flag in early ‘79 I continued auditing LRH. There were further developments and refinements as we went along. There is a tremendous amount of the original research data and techniques that have actually never been released. Now and then we occasionally hear of a “new discovery” but from what I’ve heard of them I don’t think they’re that new.

Solo NOTs

I audited LRH up through June 1979, at which point he completed his audited NOTs and went on to what was later called Solo NOTs. One of the things that was necessary to develop in order for him to be able to do Solo was a meter that would pick up the very fine reads that one gets at that level on a pair of solo cans. You see, when I started auditing him on NOTs, there was no such thing as a Mark VI meter. There was only a Mark V. And that was adequate if a person was holding two cans, one in each hand. But when we attempted to see if he could solo audit on a Mark V, reads wouldn’t show up and he would have to hold the cans in two hands and then you’d see a read. We often would test it and it seemed at the time that the whole of NOTs would have to be audited on somebody by an auditor. It seemed like it wouldn’t be possible to solo audit it because of this inability of the Mark V meter to pick up reads with just a solo can.

So he sent some instructions off and some people at Pubs Org at Los Angeles started working on developing a more sensitive meter. Then it became possible for him to go on to Solo and he began what later became Solo NOTs. I C/Sed his folder on Solo NOTs and occasionally when he ran into something I'd be called and would go in there and do a review session.

Auditing LRH

Auditing LRH was quite an experience in itself. I don't know whether I could adequately describe it. It was extremely enlightening. I'm sure those of you who are auditors know how interesting it is to audit any pc on anything, and see the pc go along running something and suddenly have a cognition. With LRH it was a similar sort of thing only about a hundred times more so. And so each day I'd wonder what new cognition or discovery would unfold in the session.

I used to have a tremendous number of cognitions sitting there auditing LRH. He'd be running something and he'd say, "No, it's not really like that. It must be like this". And then he'd go. "Oh yes!" And then he'd run a time when something to do with that occurred. And then something else. And then he'd suddenly cognite and then I'd sit there listening to this, and I'd think, "Oh my God! Yeah, that's right." I think I got at least as many cognitions from auditing him as I did from sessions on myself.

I C/Sed him on his Solo NOTs and he eventually completed the level and later asked me to write up all the materials related to Solo NOTs and export it. I did this towards the end of 1980. Solo NOTs was then released to the world. I got an enormous amount of experience during that time, not just on the subject of NOTs and Solo NOTs, but also on how one goes about researching new technology and developing it. After LRH completed Solo NOTs he continued on with solo auditing, researching the levels above that and eventually completed up through OT 11.

Plans for the future

It should be mentioned, at this point, that LRH kept me informed regarding his research basically because he wanted me to be able to continue on with that technical hat and assume it fully when he left the body. I received in April 1982 a very significant dispatch from LRH. It was approximately twenty pages long. In it, he described what he anticipated in the future and specifically over the next twenty to twenty five years. He stated that he wanted me to carry on and release the new OT levels at the appropriate time. He actually turned the hat over.

He also told me at the time that he expected to live for a minimum of a few months, perhaps a couple of years at the most, and there were paragraphs in which he told me not to get upset about the idea of his dropping his body and pointed out (and I'm mentioning this because I think it's relevant and I think most people should know it) that it wasn't something to be sad about.

David's hat

He said that he'd accomplished what he'd set out to accomplish in this lifetime, which was basically to map out the bridge. He wanted to go on and be able to start a new game. And he also estimated that he would be gone for some time. He didn't say doing what. He asked me basically to look after three things concerning the tech. One was overseeing the quality of delivery of tech by other people and to ensure that high quality delivery continued.

A second thing was that I was to look over the actual technical materials from time to time, because they would require updating as society changed. And thirdly, at suitable times in the future, I was requested to release the as-yet-unreleased OT levels. He made an important point. This was that by the time I and others had gotten up through these levels, we would find that it was possible to continue on with the research ourselves, and that he felt that the future was now secure. He didn't have to be around forever to continue on mapping the route out. He had done enough. And he therefore felt that he'd fulfilled his goals and what he referred to as his obligations to mankind, and could go and do something else. He did say that he would check back in twenty to twenty-five years to ensure it was all going well.

There is another aspect of that dispatch which I don't think has been mentioned before. Although it didn't seem very significant at the time, a few months after that I got another dispatch from him. It was more of an administrative dispatch rather than technical. He asked me to start thinking about how I might best organize myself and my staff in order to be able to fulfill the duties he had stated in the earlier dispatch. He said I would have to organize things differently from the way they were. There was a little explanation to the effect that people who were involved in tech and people who were involved in administration often don't see things the same way and he pointed out that the technical people often are more concerned with the purity of the tech and its application, whereas some of the administrative people have their attention on stats more than the tech and this can cause a variance.

I believe it was quite understated. It said that it could cause a variance or a difference in viewpoints on how things should be done. And, as I say, some of the full significance of it didn't dawn on me at the time. But he said that in addition to thinking about how to organize my unit so as to be able to fulfill the purposes and duties that he'd laid out in the earlier dispatch, I should also consider a possibly different corporate and organizational basis in which to operate. I won't go so far as to say that he predicted or necessarily suggested what was to occur later. But looking back on it now, it may well be that way, that he may have anticipated what was going to happen in the next few years and the rest of '82 and '83 up to the present.

venusWelcome to Venus

If you haven’t read Marty’s post entitled “45 Days in the Hole” you simply have to see it to believe it.

Not that any comment from me is needed, but all of Marty’s posts are consistent with everything I know not only about DM, but especially regarding Lisa Schroer -- from my own observations and experiences, up close and personal. There is no one she wouldn’t knowingly throw under the bus to remain in good standing with DM -- meaning what she said about Marc and Guillaume, and what she did to Debbie thoroughly ring true.

In fact, throwing each other under the bus was the expected convention up there. That’s how the successful executives survive.

The technique of double speak, guilt is innocence/innocence is guilt -- Lisa began practicing decades earlier. And by the time she became DM's little pet it was polished to a high luster. She used to stand every day at muster and denounce staff in the same exact way.

On a slightly lesser scale, what went on in the hole went on every day at Gold muster, Cine product conference, and weekly at Gold staff meeting. The times I heard Lisa lie about people in just this way were numerous. I realized clearly in 2000 that this was the reason she survived, i.e., she embellished everything to worsen it. She never passed on any news without embellishing it. And of course being the "commanding officer" she made life miserable for those she targeted, since her own flock of sycophants, like voracious and blind grub worms sensing vibration in the soil, would go in that direction hopeful for a meal.

These are service facsimiles. A situation that can’t be itsa’ed, requires the creation of a computation (service fac) -- a non-sensical computation that something or someone has to be in a certain condition in order to survive.

"The whole Service Facsimile can be summed up by just this one word—solution. A Service Facsimile is a solution." -- L. Ron Hubbard, P.A.B. No. 126, 15 December 1957, PROBLEMS: HANDLING AND RUNNING

"THE SERVICE FACSIMILE IS THAT COMPUTATION GENERATED BY THE PRECLEAR (NOT THE BANK) TO MAKE SELF RIGHT AND OTHERS WRONG, TO DOMINATE OR ESCAPE DOMINATION AND ENHANCE OWN SURVIVAL AND INJURE THAT OF OTHERS. The Service Facsimile is all of it logical gobbledegook.
It doesn’t make good sense. That’s because the pc adopted it where, in extreme cases, he or she felt endangered by something but could not Itsa it. Hence it’s illogical. Because it is senseless, really, the computation escapes casual inspection and makes for aberrated behavior." -- L. Ron Hubbard, HCOB of 1 SEP 1963, ROUTINE THREE SC

"The computation technically is that aberrated evaluation and postulate that one must be consistently in a certain state in order to succeed. The computation thus may mean that one must entertain in order to be alive or that one must be dignified in order to succeed or that one must own much in order to live. A computation is simply stated. It is always aberrated ...These include "I have to be late to be early", "I have to be angry to people to be liked." They are contradictory."
-- L. Ron Hubbard, Advanced Procedure and Axioms

In a little shop of horrors where to survive everyone either dramatizes a service fac by choice (or is forced to) like, “You have to throw your friends under the bus to survive” or “The only way to survive is to worsen everything” or my own which was, “To survive you have to make a criminal (DM) look good” nothing decent can last long.

It’s like hanging out on Venus, where the atmosphere is sulfuric acid, the temperature is 860 degrees and the pressure is 92 times greater than on Earth.

The direct result of that was the rapid destruction of any decent product. Anything good was “food” to the ravenous staff desperate to report something that looked good was “...actually out-ethics, Sir!” because that’s what DM rewarded. So Marc and Guillaume become “homosexuals”; Debbie, the Captain FSO for 17 years, becomes a “lesbo.” And so many others went that exact same route including myself. Ron Norton was similarly destroyed. Mike Rinder. It’s a list hundreds long. Below the top level hundreds of daily injustices rained down by all those who survived by being a Miscavige Mini Me, hence the constant prattle of “so and so was out ethics,” “so and so is CI” etc.

By 2000, it became obvious to me, that even an OT in that environment could get NOTHING done. I found I could survive -- not happily -- but I found out I was unkillable and that was interesting. I could keep going no matter what. There was a point where further penalties didn’t compress you down any lower.

And I found as an OT, I could sometimes sway things this way or that. I could live in that quagmire, but the immediate question was “Why?”  Once created, there was no way to protect any product. The wolf pack descended on products, not just people, and found all manner of things wrong with anything that anyone produced.

So the interesting thing was -- like staff, like product. In the same way that DM, Lisa Schroer, Angie, Jenny (plus about 100 other evil Nazis) visited destruction on the human cargo of Scientology, the were doing the same thing to any and all decent products. A good ad campaign became a “dangerous” ad campaign. A good script became a “suppressive” script. A brilliant eval or solution became a “counter intention” or “an intentional effort to undermine Command Intention.” Even one’s personal belongings were rapidly attacked and eroded by the acidic climate. I remember when Ronnie Miscavige was attacked by DM because he had a BMW. The car was German, so Ronnie was suppressive for supporting Germans. Ronnie was put under house arrest, forbid from leaving the base and forced to get rid of his car.

Thirdly, in additions to people and products, actions also faced the same corrosive winds. Anything you did was rapidly redressed as “suppressive” “destructive” “counter intention,” etc.

Miscavige always characterized mistakes as “intentional!” (something I heard over and over from him).

In other words, here under the most violent attack were all three forms of existence: beingness, doingness and havingness.

The only “products” allowed to survive were actually destructive products, e.g. DM’s event videos and stinking-awful marketing campaigns like Golden Age of Tech, which DM said many times was his own marketing campaign. Same with New Era or Management, Golden Age of OT, Golden Age of Knowledge, and Golden Age of Blubbering Idiocy all of which (except the last) were DM’s own pet marketing campaigns that he used as clubs to beat real marketing people senseless because only HE could do real marketing. Of course DM never said in his speeches that Golden Age of Tech was just a marketing campaign.

With out even the slenderest hope of producing anything positive or beneficial for the world from that location I routed out in 2004.

Sadism

My first impression of Lisa Schroer when I met her 20 years before at CMO Int. Within a few hours I concluded she was suppressive. I even managed to run her as a terminal on a PTS Rundown I received in 1990. I would have liked to run some others, but would have been pushing my luck.

About Lisa Schroer I can recommend her as ruthless and morally vacuous as they come. I predict some day she will read these words... and feel nothing. She is an empty husk of a black hole locked in orbit around an even darker void: David Miscavige. And for all her ilk, all I can offer is a small ironic smile that hell on earth is alive and well.

That brings me to another subject. A mildly interesting film I saw recently was called “The Secretary” staring James Spader. I’m no psychoanalyst, but the couple in the film are into sadomasochism. He tortures her, hurts her, humiliates her and they both get off on it. Sound familiar to anyone?

Furthermore, they engage in what looked to me almost like role playing, except they weren’t playing. He gets very angry, she gets very submissive. He punishes her. She cries out. And begs for more.

For an outsider like me, a film about the world of S&M was strange to say the least. Except something unexpected happened. While watching it, a few old dots were finally connected by a very straight line.

Connecting Old Dots

A strange site confronted me years ago. I’d written a script in 1994 that Miscavige was reviewing. I think it was a year or two before I wrote the first “Destination OT” tour video for the FSO. Miscavige called me up to his office and it was like watching a Punch and Judy puppet show. Miscavige was both puppeteer and puppet.

When I walked in, he was sitting down at the RTC Conference room table flanked by his secretary Lou on one side and Shelly on the other; they were standing. As I recall, it was just us four.

As he read each page, he ripped it violently from of the three-ring binder and threw it up over his shoulder. Depending on which way he threw it, either Lou or Shelly picked it up off the floor.

I thought, how incredibly demeaning that he would humiliate his own wife and secretary in front of me. And how degrading that both Lou and Shelly willingly submitted to this runty little schmo. It was like they were role playing. But this was no game and they weren’t smiling... just like in the film.

No, Miscavige was not smiling, but it was obvious he was getting off on his power trip and taking pleasure in humiliating his submissive wife and secretary Lou.

Debbie Cook’s victimization is another link in a long chain. You’ll remember the story of Musical Chairs first made public by Marc Headley (which you can read about on this website). That story was true, including the part about David Miscavige laughing while staff fought like animals over the chairs.

I’d also seen David Miscavige order his secretary Lou to punch people in the face (he said she was a Black Belt). She went over the victim, feigned a shot at his nose, the victim recoiled in horror, and David Miscavige busted out in laughter. Mirth!

Sadism means “the tendency to derive pleasure, especially sexual gratification, from inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation on others.”

Sadism is at -23 on the scale of Awareness Characteristics and aligns to the Sub-Zero Tone Scale to aspects such as "Punishing Other Bodies," "Responsibility as Blame," and "Owning Bodies." As LRH explained, "Below zero on the tone Scale is applicable only to a thetan. It has been quite commonly observed that there are two positions for any individual on the Tone Scale. This occurs because there is a position for the composite of the thetan plus his MEST body, operating in a state of unknowingess that he is now a MEST body and behaving according to social patterns which give him some semblance of sanity. The other position on the tone Scale is the position of the thetan himself and it is necessary for us to demonstrate a negative scale in order to find the thetan at all."

A sociopath is “a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.”

In addition to being sociopath, David Miscavige is a sadist. The point isn’t to criticize. It is to find data of comparable magnitude to who and what stands at the helm of the Scientology religion.

Q&A: Scientology Marketer Describes 'Stinking Horrible Mess' Inside Church

By Jim Edwards | Jan 26, 2010

roadtrip_sm_vermontFor 20 years, Steve Hall was a senior writer in the marketing department of the Church of Scientology. He wrote the tagline “Know Yourself; Know Life.” He left the church — which he now refers to as a “cult” — to start his own graphic design firm, Steve Hall Creative.

He talked to BNET about how Scientology markets and advertises itself, and discusses famous Scientologists such as Leo Burnett’s Cheryl Berman, Neopets.com’s Doug Dohring, and of course actor Tom Cruise. Hall describes an “inept” organization that has historically failed to take advantage of the experience available to it, and which has become “a stinking horrible mess” as a result.

BNET: What did you actually do for the Church of Scientology?

Hall: I did a number of things over about 20 years. My background was in advertising. I grew up in an advertising family. My dad was at Tracy-Locke. He worked on their No.1 clients such as Frito Lay and Pearl Beer, which was at one time the No.1 beer in Texas. I wanted more than a house and a wife and a dog and a gold watch. A lot of people feel like that. They’re looking for meaning. They recruited me. I was doing the courses. They provide counselling, auditing, which means “to listen.” I took a job and after about three years I heard they were forming a new organization of staff in Los Angeles that was going to handle advertising for the church. That was 1987. So I went to Los Angeles. My first job was as a product manager. And I later became the director of marketing for Dianetics. It’s a book but it’s also a subject. We did direct mail. We did fliers, brochures, handouts and TV ads. I’ve done TV ads for Dianetics and a lot of TV ads for Scientology. There was a big campaign released in 1998, a series of ads on TV promoting several  different books. I was pretty much the senior writer. For most of my stuff I reported either to David Miscavige [the leader of the church] or one of his direct juniors. As a screenwriter I had 14 writers under me, plus a secretary. Not all of those people were full time.

BNET: Do they use ad agencies?

Hall: They do everything in-house. At one time they hired Trout & Ries [that's Al Ries and Jack Trout]. They wrote, “Positioning: The Battle for Your Mind.” It came out in the late 1970s. They were hired to do an advertising campaign for Scientology but David Muscavige didn’t like it so that killed it right there. That was the last time they hired an outside agency to do something.

BNET: A lot of executives would regard Scientology as an extremely difficult marketing challenge.

Hall: The challenge of trying to market Dianetics and Scientology is probably one of the most difficult assignments in the world. They are not thought of well. There’s a lot of suspicion and controversy. Most of that is generated from within because of the way the leader of the church has dealt with people, such as issues to do with internet copyright. They do a lot of lawsuits. They run full-page ads in USA Today attacking Eli Lilly (LLY) [which makes antidepressants, which Scientology opposes]. It makes people stand back. Time magazine wrote them up as a “mafia-like” organization. How do you create a want for that? It’s an almost impossible challenge.

BNET: The main problem seems to be that Scientology is a secret organization. Most people have no idea what it stands for.

Hall: It’s not deliberate. It’s just inept marketing. I think they don’t have a clue what they are doing. I’ve worked at the top ranks of management, shoulder to shoulder. They all worry constantly about the big problem that nobody understands them. But for other reasons they have not been effective at all at communicating what they do, what their beliefs are and so forth. They’re not deliberately keeping it a secret. It’s a more simple problem than that. A lot of organizations that do their own in-house marketing, they eat the product, breathe the product, 24/7, and they lose their objectivity and they don’t know how to connect with people outside. Compounding that, [founder L. Ron] Hubbard wrote in the 1970s and ’80s a few policies on how the church was to do their marketing. There’s nothing wrong with what he wrote, but that marketing know-how is circa 1975. As any creative person knows, marketing has grown by light years since 1975. By today’s standards those methods are terrible.

BNET: Did you ever meet Cheryl Berman? She was Leo Burnett’s creative chief and a board member, and perhaps the best-known Scientologist in advertising?

Hall: No, I never met Cheryl, but I had a really good friend from Leo Burnett named Greg Bashaw, he was one of their copywriters, he was a mentor for me. I studied with him and I would send him my ideas and get feedback. I never heard Cheryl’s name and she was never around. Nobody spoke to her. David Miscavige did not want to use any outside people.

BNET: What happened to Bashaw?

Hall: Greg Bashaw was mistreated by the church and committed suicide. He got up to the highest levels, OT7, and there he revealed, I heard, that he had seen a psychiatrist in some earlier years. In response to that he was told he was no longer eligible for services and was left $50,000 in debt, money he gave to the church. [Hall explains that Scientology is bitterly opposed to psychiatry and distances itself from anyone involved in it.]

BNET: But he was a convert, he wanted to be a Scientologist — why would they reject him?

Hall: I know. It doesn’t make any sense. He was a really good guy. I think it was 2001. I believe he did it with carbon monoxide, a hose, he parked his car somewhere. I knew his wife, I met his son.

BNET: What role does Tom Cruise play in the church?

Hall: He never had any official role. He’s just wealthy and famous and Miscavige has taken advantage of him, in my estimation. David Miscavige, the leader of the church, has befriended him and paid him special attention. When he’s with Tom he starts to complain … He ends up creating this feeling that it’s you and him against the world. They are best friends. They go places together all the time.

David Miscavige definitely wanted to cultivate celebrities for their PR value. He did see a push to that, which resulted in Tom Cruise jumping up and down on Oprah’s couch, which was one of the biggest PR flops in history, so they’ve backed off on that and just let him do his career.

BNET: What about Doug Dohring, the owner of Neopets.com, who is also a Scientologist?

Hall: I’ve heard of Doug Dohring but I don’t know anything about it.

BNET: Hold on — the church has access to people like Berman, Cruise and Dohring who all have lifetimes of marketing experience, and it doesn’t ask them for advice in any way?

Hall: I know, it doesn’t make any sense does it? That’s the point. It doesn’t make any sense! Scientology grew and grew all through the 1980s. In 1990 David Miscavige pulled the funding for all that advertising and it stopped. Since that time the church has been contracting. They’ve bought some buildings but that’s it. That’s not expanding, they have shrinking membership but they’ve got a bigger building.

BNET: What kind of events does the church put on?

Hall: I put together 28 TV ads in 1998 that used the current tagline that they’re still using. Miscavige showed them at one of his events … Scientologists said “Wow, fantastic! Here’s money to run them.” The ads ran for a few months and then he totally just pulled the funding and never even showed the very best ads. Their PR was not nearly as bad back then as it as now. Now it’s just a stinking horrible mess. The purpose was to show the ads at the events that generated donations. The Scientologists don’t know any better. The ads only run for a short time. He spends a minimal amount of money.

BNET: So you made ads to generate donations to run them on TV, but they never ran, they just generate donations at meetings?

Hall: Exactly.

BNET: What was your salary?

Hall: There was no money in it at all. People at that level, it’s a fraternal organization, they’re paid 40 or 50 cents an hour. I literally got $46 a week most of the time. Except for David Miscavige, he gets a six-figure income. Not to mention the cars and houses and vacations. My food and housing were paid for and that’s it. An average week for me would be somewhere between 80 to 100 hours. It wasn’t about making money, it was about the movement.

Whistle-Blowers - Thoughtful
Friday, 15 January 2010 21:40

The fifth step for handling a dangerous situation is, “Reorganize the activity so that the situation does not repeat.” Indie Scientologists are starting to ask how might we do that for Scientology?

Dialog began some time back on this and on Marty’s blog and others. And as with any dialog, some ideas have merit, some don’t. That’s all fine... part of “putting in order” for which the operating datum is continue to put in order and let the confusion blow off. LRH says, don’t try to stop the confusion, just keep putting in order.

Checks and Balances

LRH created a system of checks and balances to see Scientology into the future, a system that was subverted and then nullified by David Miscavige.

WDC -- the Watch Dog Committee was supposed to comprise the watchdogs over Scientology. They're all gone -- taken out, one by one, and destroyed. However, that doesn’t prevent someone else from picking up the hat and wearing it.

By refusing to allow anyone at the Int base to wear the hat of WDC the way LRH envisioned (since the first action of a real WDC member would be to stuff David Miscavige into a cannon, point it straight down and fire!) Miscavige has abdicated WDC’s power. As LRH says in HCO PL, Why Hatting?, “When a person is secretly afraid of others, he instinctively will not hat them or hats them wrongly and tends to transfer or move them about.”

Power unused is power abdicated.

So who wears the hat of WDC now? Actually, you and me.

When there’s no one on post to wear a hat, it becomes everyone’s hat.

Power abdicated

LRH established the Executive Strata of experienced Scientology executives to monitor key functions -- these are hats LRH actually wore. By refusing to allow anyone to wear those hats, again, David Miscavige has abdicated that power.

Same with RTC: to maintain the purity of the tech from an external position well off management lines. Who wears that hat today? Well, it sure isn't RTC. Re-defining floating needles and instant reads; forcing in squirrel six-month checks into the No-Interference Area; administering HCO style security checks to public Scientologists as “eligibility”; turning HCO into a dog and pony to sell books; turning LRH’s canceled disconnection into an active political weapon to silence dissent; selling status in the IAS and illegal straight donations for Super Power, etc., when LRH forbade straight donations without exchange; creating an atmosphere of brutality and intolerance while pretending to stand for “human rights” and “religious freedom”; (and the list goes on) RTC is doing more to push tech OUT than any suppressive group in history. More than "the psychs," more than the FBI, more than the CIA, more than anyone. Ever.

And regarding religious freedom, there is no religious freedom in the Church of Scientology today. Unless you toe the line and donate and cheer wildly at events and sell your soul, you can be declared. You are not free to disagree or express any constructive criticism. If you even write a KR, it triggers heat-seeking RTC missiles into your very living room to strip the certificates from your walls, like they did with Trey Lotz. If you change your mind about wanting to be associated with such a group, you WILL be declared and disconnected from your friends and family.

Psssst -- Dave, that is not religious freedom.

Here is what religious freedom means: what is true for a person is what is true for them. If they don’t agree with anything in Scientology or if they change their mind one day: that is their freedom. You don’t take action against them. They are FREE to believe as they choose. And they are free to express their opinion.

The CoS needs to stop lying by saying it supports “religious freedom” because in fact the Church of Scientology is one of the most intolerant groups on earth. As Just Bill pointed out once, they actually have become a hate group.

We have them surrounded

So now, let’s get down to the real subject of this article. The apparency is that DM and those in charge within Church management have power; while Scientology's ex-patriots have nothing. In reality, what the Church execs have is a bunch of labels.

They have labels and all they can do is hand out labels. "You're an SP," "She's out-ethics," "He's not in good standing," "He's a Patronus Maximus Petunianovis Double Diamond Grande with a Shot of Expresso." What happens when one day no one gives a damn about their labels?

Well that day is fast approaching and on that day, the Church of Miscavology will suddenly have zero influence.

A rough parallel for what we as a group are discovering is in the LRH formula “8-8008”: the attainment of infinity by the reduction of the apparent infinity of the material universe to zero, and the increase of the apparent zero of the individual’s own universe to infinity.

There was a day when I thought if I were to be declared my world would end. Strangely, after I was declared (for daring to route off staff from the Int base) on that day, life began. I soon regained my perspective, my sense of right and wrong, regained my integrity, regained many OT abilities, started having fun again, got fit, got remarried, and finally started OT V... a step I’d been waiting to do since completing OT IV at Flag in 1986. And even though I’d made millions of dollars in the interim for the Church through marketing campaigns, print ads, TV spots, flyers, brochures, films, marketing videos, tour videos, release videos, gigantic displays and  other creative products that are my specialties not to mention three websites for the Church including the old Dianetics website online from 2002 to 2008, somehow the Church (i.e., David Miscavige) could not allow me nor any other Int staff to move one single step further up the Bridge -- the whole purpose for which the Church exists!

I thought if I got a label it would be impossible to move up the Bridge. I thought I’d lose all my friends. Once I got the label, I started to move up the Bridge for the first time in 23 years (and in a safe environment, too) and now I’ve gained friends around the world and they are the very best kind of friends. What’s more, I’m completely free to market the reality of Scientology instead of David Miscavige’s perverted criminal corrupted unreality. And I’m communicating to people world wide.

In March 2004 I got a label. Now, almost 6 years later, I’m wondering what on earth was I afraid of?

Monsters!

Monster from 1958, "Fiend Without a Face"

One of my fondest memories as a kid included watching “Fiend Without a Face” one Sunday afternoon in the summer of 1964 while on vacation with my family at Padre Island, Texas.

I was six years old and I literally could NOT get enough monsters! The Blob, the Birds, the Mummy, Killer Shrews, giant ants, radioactive aliens, dinosaurs, Triffids, flying saucers, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein, Dracula, Hunchback, Phantom of the Opera, the Crawling Eye, Wicked Witches, flying monkeys -- I loved them all.

“Fiend without a Face” was great because this 1958 movie (which you can rent from Netflix) was the first movie to do gore. The Fiends were invisible, intelligent, murderous brain-like creatures with a spinal cord for a tail. When killed they oozed and gurgled up puddles of real fake blood!

Deliciously scary when I was six years old. Not so scary as an adult. As adults we aren’t afraid of monsters.

Image of Creature from the Black LagoonSo what are we afraid of?

Labels.

(Oh man, this is embarrassing).

What? Grown men and women... running scared because of what? Being chased by a label-spewing organization? No teeth? No claws? No scales? No tentacles? Just words?

That’s it?

What the hell were we thinking?

Well, as a veteran of countless monster movies, I can tell you exactly what happens next. Trapped, out numbered, eventually the humans have to turn and face the monster!

Here’s a copy of the script:

[Knock, knock]

Scientologist: Who’s there?

Voice behind the door: [breathing heavily] Give us your money and worship David Miscavige or else!

Scientologist: Or else what?

Voice behind the door: Or else we gonna spit out a hideous, venomous label on you.

Scientologist: [derisive laughter] You don’t scare me David Miscavige.

Voice behind the door: Wha... what’s happening? How’d you know it was me?

Scientologist: [opens door] SHOO BITCH!

Voice behind the door: [screams, runs away faster than Tommy Davis can blow from an interview on national TV]

See -- it’s usually something simple that stops the horrible monster. In Day of the Triffids, it was plain old sea water. Dracula got a wooden stake. In our case, ignoring David Miscavige will do the job.

How do I know? Miscavige said so in an interview with the Saint Petersburg Times in 1998: “People keep saying, ‘How’d you get power?’ ” Miscavige said. “Nobody gives you power. I’ll tell you what power is. Power in my estimation is if people will listen to you. That’s it.”

Delusional power vs. de facto power

Our power is de facto, but that doesn't matter. Power is power. So the important thing is to recognize we have power and continue to use it by putting in order.

Real power lies with those who have knowledge, responsibility and control. Together, we've created this community-based indie movement in only a few months.

You have power. Your opinions matter.

And since we’re on the subject, remember that first step of the Power formula: don’t disconnect.

So what are David Miscavige and Tommy Davis doing? Disconnect, disconnect, disconnect, disconnect, disconnect... It is literally their only stat still going “straight up and vertical” as a matter of fact: number disconnections. Well, actually that’s not true. Another stat that is straight up and vertical is “millions wasted on off-Policy real estate projects, lawyers, spies and international PR events to glorify David Miscavige.”

Recent verification came in from an Indie Scientologist who writes as StarsAwait, that org statistics have NOT reverted. He got the word from old friends in the CLO who sadly confirmed org stats have continued to downtrend unabated since 1990. Apparently the Golden Age of Tech and the Golden Age of Knowledge have combined to produce the Golden Age of Rigor Mortis: no transparency, no accountability, no ARC, no auditors being made, no Clears being made.

Our people on the ground in Clearwater confirm the parking lots are empty. The streets are deserted. Staff members look like beaten dogs. In my day at the FSO you could still go to the store for a snack, get a donut on Gulf-to-Bay, shop downtown. But not any more. Flag staff are in virtual lock down. No one may go anywhere without permission.

I get it. Scientology is going to bring Total Freedom through Total Slavery. That makes sense. Seems like I’ve seen that somewhere before?

I recently received a report that tours reg’s are routinely asked by Scientologists when they go out on tour “What about these reports of David Miscavige beating people?” Scientologists are demanding to know what’s going on.

When confronted on this same question by the Saint Petersburg Times, Tommy Davis tried to excuse the physical abuse of Sea Org members by saying Sea Org members are “tough sons of bitches.”

I’m sure pre-Civil-War slave masters in the old South would have liked to use that one when questioned about their practices. Slaves were whipped in front of their own children; their backs lacerated to the bone... “Well, them slaves -- they’s tough sons of bitches!” Thank you Slave-Master Davis. Now we all understand why you and Master Miscavige think it’s perfectly okay to violate human rights. Sea Org members are not people, they are “sons of bitches.” Nice to know -- Mr. International Spokesperson for David Miscavige -- deep down under the skin how draconian you really are.

The book Scientology 0-8 includes LRH’s index of withholds from 1962:

“If the pc doesn’t think it’s very dangerous, they give it to you directly and straight.

“If the pc thinks it’s a little bit dangerous, they explain around the fringes of where it might lie.

“If the pc thinks it’s rather confoundedly dangerous, it’s getting just a little bit grim, maybe on the jail borderline on that chain -- the pc will criticize.

“If it is so dangerous that the pc believes he is right up to the point where, with a jingle-jangle the patrol wagon arrives, the officers pick up the battering ram, they knock down the front door, they come crashing in with the handcuffs and leg irons and drag him screaming off -- they give you the motivator.

“The person will die before he will reveal himself.”

Funny isn’t it, that Tommy Davis is already up to step 4, giving out the motivator that Sea Org members are just “tough sons of bitches” so apparently they require beating because normal communication just doesn’t work with these people. I mean it is so hard to get good slaves these days without attitude. You know, people who would give up every dynamic, endure sleep deprivation that even the CIA classifies as torture, work for 40 cents an hour 7 days a week, abort their children when ordered, submit to all manner of human trafficking, banned from even visiting the 7-11 for a soda, prohibited from calling parents or family without someone listening in... and who would do it all without that attitude. Those kinds of uppity slaves just require beat downs. To make it worse, most of the time they won’t beat each other, so that just forces David Miscavige to beat staff personally like I saw him do on four occasions.

Help us pull the Church’s withholds. Get the crimes out in the open. Criminality has nothing to do with Scientology, so stop condoning it.

The tide has turned. The power has shifted.

The Internet is no longer considered taboo by active Scientologists. Virtually everyone is reading what is being posted here and elsewhere.

As LRH said, not even 16-inch armor plate can stop truth.

The Inside Story

David Miscavige and the Church of Scientology are currently pushing the PR line of “Restoration of Lost Scientology Materials Complete.” Taken at face value, it sounds like a great accomplishment.

First of all, however, most of these lectures were never actually “lost.” Only a tiny fraction of the 1,000 or so lectures were missing and most of those were recovered in the 1980s -- almost 30 years ago. Most have been there for all these years, only it was not DM's priority to make them available until now. Why? Because "the marketing was not right." Miscavige entire fixation as regards the tech is to release or re-release it in such a way as to make himself appear as glorious as possible, as if it were only he who is providing the tech to us. Presenting them as the "lost" lectures is a witty PR spin to draw attention from the fact that Miscavige personally stopped these lectures from being released years ago.

Consider that even in the 1950s most of LRH's lectures were available on reel-to-reel tape within days. If LRH could make his lectures available with a tiny crew and minuscule resources in the 1950s, how big an achievement is it that, with millions of dollars in resources and even computer technology, Miscavige is now doing the same thing, but instead of days, it took Miscavige 30 years?

If you really look at this "achievement" the most telling issue is not “that now they’re available,” it’s how come these weren’t released decades ago? Isn't that supposed to be RTC’s prime directive... i.e., “Having the tech”?

In that light, it’s factually a very poor show that only now, 30 years late, Miscavige making these available with great fanfare at exorbitant cost.

Here's how a sane person would have handled the release of these lectures: They would have gotten them out on reel-to-reel in the 1980s, then cassette. There would have been no events, just announcements in the magazines and order forms provided. Information would have been sent describing each lecture. That would have been done in the 1980s. When CDs came out, the magazines would have announced the lectures were now available on CD. No "international" events -- LRH forbade them in 1977 because their production knock's everyone's hat off and interrupts their progress up the Bridge. He intended magazines to do that job since Scientologists could read them at their leisure.

Today, the Church the church would have made it known that the lectures could now simply be downloaded. As a result, there would have been MANY more Scientologists. Scientology would have virtually no enemies. It would be cool to be a Scientologist because the Church would not be intrusive and abusive. They would be where they belong -- IN THE BACKGROUND. And what would be in the foreground? L. Ron Hubbard's tech. And thousands of Scientologists, each one a walking advertisement for what that technology can do.

Instead, we have a five-foot-tall spin doctor who has to appear on huge stages surrounded by a dozen or so 40-foot-tall phallic symbols (columns) made of Styrofoam to make him important. Who else in history was compelled to do that? Only one person: freaking Adolf Hitler. And whereas for the last 30 years Miscavige has held these lectures back, refusing to let them be released, in one blanket statement he announces them as "lost" technology when nothing could be further from the truth. How evil can one man be?

The release consists of what are called the Advanced Clinical Course lectures, 1000 lectures given by LRH from the mid-50s to early 60s. These were advanced courses intended to train auditors in the latest technology.

LRH used to travel around the world delivering these. He delivered “Congress” to the broad Scientology public, following that with an ACC in order to train auditors.

“Congresses” were intended for general Scientology public, the ACCs were for trained people. In the Congresses LRH told many entertaining stories, talked about subjects of broad public interest and delivered group auditing.

ACC lectures were much more technical, full of fine points for auditors, including specific auditing techniques and drills. They are less entertaining for anyone not trained. That wasn't their purpose.

To maximize profits, these ACC lectures will probably be sold using the same drill as with the Congresses and the "Basics," i.e., heavy, heavy pressure on staff to sell them and on public to buy full sets. And viewed by the light of church management under David Miscavige, it's surely going to become a mess.

Org staff will be pushed off hat and hammered to sell the full sets to parishioners, every parishioner. Ethics officers will be there to deal with any failed closes. Parishioners will tire of the ceaseless hammering, some sales will be made and life will go on.

And as Joe Howard pointed out today, “As for putting the lectures on CDs, they might as well have them delivered by horse and buggy. They could have put everything on a special edition iPod that Apple would have been happy to custom design and been made available for a fraction of the cost. The transcripts could be put on a Kindle and for that matter they could have had LRH's voice on a Kindle too probably. It's a worthwhile accomplishment but achieved in a very knuckle-headed fashion, which is
standard operating procedure for David Miscavige.”

Jeff Hawkins agreed. As he said, “Dan's point about putting these all on an iPod is a good one. If their intention was to get Hubbard's work out, they would simply release them broadly in the most efficient and economical way possible. If their intention was to MAKE MONEY, well, then they would release them on CD and charge $7.50 a CD for a set of 1000 CDs, and pressure every Scientologist to buy one or more full sets, which is exactly what Miscavige is doing.”

Furthermore, as Golden Era Production manufactures all the CDs they sell with equipment they already own, it is a well-known fact that each CD costs them no more than $0.12 to make. That’s a 6,250% price increase.

However, most Scientologists would consider $7.50 a bargain price for LRH discoveries.  Certainly, there’s no arguing with placing a monetary value on LRH’s discoveries. But all this takes for granted that someone else really has the right to own and withhold LRH’s discoveries from you unless you pay whatever price they set.

LRH developed the technology as a gift to mankind. By what philosophical right does David Miscavige own all rights to sell LRH’s discoveries only when he decides and only for a price he selects?

What’s missing from this scenario is purpose.

Not to diminish the importance of the lectures, but in some cases the lectures have already been released earlier on cassette tape, but now they're releasing them again on CD and calling it "new." An example is the 1st ACC -- 74 lectures released in the early 1990’s under the name, "Exteriorization and the Phenomena of Space Lectures."

Miscavige has been doing a similar trick with organizations: remodeling them, holding a Grand Opening and chalking it up as a "new org" whereas it's really only a new building. There are almost no new organizations at all. In fact, I’ve heard they've lost a few. And then there have been several cities which had two orgs -- a Day and Foundation org (two organizations sharing the same building) and in some cases those have been reduced (against LRH policy) to a single organization (to artificially jack up the total number of staff in that particular org, despite the zero net gain).

Nevertheless, these lectures really ARE important. Unfortunately, the Church’s PR release on the subject reeks of DM “spin”: using the release to whitewash his dirty reputation.

What Miscavige and ubercreepy Tommy Davis don’t understand is that good deeds don't excuse felonies. Miscavige is desperately trying to play that card, but the people buying the lie are fewer and fewer. Good deeds don't justify senseless crimes.

When was the last time a common criminal got off the hook by doing good deeds? Well, that’s all David Miscavige is: a common criminal. His out tech -- like interrupting the OT levels with relentless HCO Security Checks -- is responsible for how many deaths of those trying to move up to OT?

The truth is Miscavige committed his crimes because he's a nasty little wood pecker -- who else would physically attack his own staff who are there out of the goodness of their own hearts as volunteers? Who else would force abortions, break up countless marriages with human trafficking, use “disconnection” like a wrecking ball to destroy thousands of families, waste hundreds of millions of dollars in brainless real estate projects -- like demolishing LRH's modest home at the Int base -- the last place where his own children saw him alive -- erecting a brand new McMansion in its place costing $30 million dollars that LRH will never occupy?

Who else would spend $70,000,000 on an RTC building, when there were only about 10 staff left in RTC. To "fix" that one, by report he recently moved in 100 CMO staff, since a price tag of $7 million per capita sounds excessive to anyone. Now he’s got the investment down to a modest $700,000 per capita. Nice to know this fine upstanding manager is able to deal with the responsibilities of spending IAS donations and donations for LRH’s materials in this way.

Who else would spend tremendous sums weekly to fight his legal wars... wars in most cases HE started in the first place? For example, in 1985 a plaintiff was willing to settle for $1.2 million dollars. Against the advice of all legal terminals, Miscavige said “No way.” Result? The legal battle wrangled on for another 10 years at a cost of more than $100 million dollars. That is DAVID MISCAVIGE.

He’s a PR wizard, now releasing 1000 LRH lectures most of which have been totally available all along, and hiding the crime with the label, “lost lectures.” Once again, the Data Series enables you to see through the smoke and mirrors because that, my friend, is a point of illogic, an “outpoint,” called “falsehood.” They were not “lost.”

With whistle-blowing turning the tables on his game, David Miscavige is pretty desperate to come up with "reasons" to explain why he had to commit his crimes -- you see it was necessary to beat up all those people because he was trying to get out the tech and achieve this monumental achievement. LRH called that a DED. It’s from the book, Scientology: History of Man. Goes like this:

“An incident the preclear does to another dynamic and for which he has no motivator -- i.e., he punishes or hurts or wrecks something the like of which has never hurt him. Now he must justify the incident. He will use things which didn’t happen to him. He claims that the object of his injury really DEserveD it, hence the word DED, which is a sarcasm.” -- LRH

The simple truth is most of these lectures could have been released decades ago. DM's excuse was the sound wasn't good enough. Well, if there's a great discovery, is the quality of the sound so important that you don't make the lectures available at all for 30 extra years?

I say no. I say if the purpose is to help as many people as possible as quickly as possible, you’d get the tech out however you can, and make it as inexpensive as possible. Today, there is no reason to make lectures available on CD when they simply could be downloaded digitally, online at near zero cost. Instead of doing that, Miscavige is going to sell them on CD and jack up the price by 6,250%.

What monumental waste. The whole concept of Scientology was to enable people to break the endless cycle of life and death. So why delay release of the tech by 30 years in a matter of life and death? To me, that says “the guy in charge doesn’t care about you or me. He’s got his own personal agenda.”

David Miscavige’s wastefulness is most acute in terms of the tens of thousands of potential public he has offended by his actions and turned away from Scientology.

The vast majority of people searching for answers aren't going to go anywhere near an organization that acts like the mafia, who’s spokesperson lies on national TV, denying the practice of disconnection, and who told Martin Bashir on ABC Nightline it was offensive to be questioned about core Scientology information. He’s the spokesperson! He’s supposed to be asked those questions.

I met Martin and spoke with him. He’s a decent person. His job is to ask tough questions. Tommy’s job is to answer them.

(Martin, if you really want to know about Scientology, ask me. I’ll give you honest answers that make sense because unlike Tommy Davis, I posses the personal integrity and responsibility to answer any questions about Scientology.)

Personally I love the tech because I’ve been able to do so much with it. It is disgusting that the importance of this release is tainted and discolored by the enmity so many people feel toward David Miscavige and his regime.

It's like Bernie Madoff rushing in to take credit for something really positive, after being exposed as a Ponzi thief. It produces a strange admixture of elation and revulsion: I am elated that the lectures are all finally available. I'm offended that David Miscavige has gotten himself alloyed into the mix.

Finally, the point needs to be made that Miscavige claims to have personally edited all these lectures, and we already know he has been active in removing anything he deems "politically incorrect" and things that would cast his own regime in a bad light. That means all the work to edit and release these lectures will have to be done again, once Dumb Monkey is thrown out.

That wouldn't keep me from listening to the lectures. I recommend anyone listen to them because the discoveries LRH covers truly are useful.
