Scientology Inc is a homophobic religion. The Church did use Keith Relkin (RIP) as a West Hollywood token Gay guy to convince one and all that Scientology Inc was gay-friendly~~ but at the same time let him know that Keith was not "eligible" for its higher spiritual levels while he practiced a gay lifestyle.
