Disastrous Events | Print |

Mention has already been made of how “chairman” Miscavige has been able to project his public but very false image through incessant events of the type that were banned by LRH as disruptive of organizations, but further comment is in order.

To the staffs of orgs, a single event requires weeks of work; promotion, call-in, event-hall location & funding, re-confirm actions, event-space set up, staff drilling, event management, post event actions and breakdown. It’s an involved cycle of action of intense activity if anything at all is to come of it.

Now realize that there are nine of these “official” but illegal events spaced evenly throughout the year: New Years, March 13th, May 9th, four “OT Summit” events from the Ship, Auditors Day and the IAS Anniversary event.

Now throw in mandatory annual Freewinds events held in orgs requiring staff and public attendance, Advanced Org tours as well as the Flag World Tour.

Add to these, IAS events every few months to extract funds from the public to fight battles long since won as well as numerous, enforced org fund raising events to extract more money from the public to buy or renovate monster buildings.

It all adds up to at least twenty two major events per year, per org (minimum). Or one every two and a half weeks. And since its mandatory that all org staff contribute to the creation of these events regardless of their post, you begin to see why the public are dog sick of them and why our orgs are failing -- they have become just event holding, money-raising machines, the staff jumping from one event preparation cycle to the next.
Most of the staff of Scientology organizations have been turned into nothing but donation pimps and personal PR reps for “chairman” Miscavige. So you can be certain they won’t be cancelled any time soon.

For years now, some brave org personnel repeatedly queried the holding of these events as destructive but to no avail. And management could never get anything done as the events cross ordered sensible programs (the events being a case of present time orders only, a serious form of developed traffic), so staff and management have been driven into apathy.

These events leave no time for real org events – those that actually help the public. Which just goes to prove that we are no longer in the business of orgs as laid down by LRH, the actual delivery of Scientology. Disastrously, we’re in the Miscavige money gathering and Miscavige aggrandizement business. A sorry ass place to be.
